It was a normal day. He woke up, ate breakfast, drank his tea. And then he got dressed and left the house for school he kissed his dog's nose as he yelled goodbye to his mother and walked out the door.
He happily walked down the street to the bus stop and waited for the bus to arrive. When it finally did, he got on and sat in his usual seat. Second to last at the very back of the bus.
Kory put in his headphones and turned his music volume all the way up to block out the noise of the younger children bickering and playing around. For hells sake it was only 7:10 in the morning and they were already screaming and laughing with eachother.
He watches as the scenery outside changed with each second and felt a smile grow on his face. It had snowed the night before and the white powder covered the fields that the bus passed. The sit hit it just right making it look like it was sparkling. Kory was fond of the way the snow glimmered. He also really likes cold stuff.
Kory waits until he's off the bus to take his headphones out and when he does he's almost instantly hit with the loud ringing of the school bell. He curses and runs into the school to make it to his first class.
'Chemistry. Just great.' He thought as he ran. He makes it to the classroom just as the second bell rings, and with a warning look from his teacher, he makes his way to the seat in the back of the room. His teacher was lecturing today. Thankfully, all the notes he had to take were on a PowerPoint that was also available for the students who misuse it to make up.
Kory lays his head on his desk and looks outside the window. Watching as the snow starts falling.
"Mr.Sage, would you please repeat what I just said?" The teachers voice cuts through the teenagers thoughts and he looks up.
"What Mr.Smith?" Kory asks confused.
"I asked if you would repeat what I had said during the lecture." Me.Smith restates the question.
"Umm... you were talking about the assemblage of a good hypothesis. And how you need an accepted explanation for why something happens the way of does and how it reacts?" Kory says, his eyes never leaving the teacher.
"Close Kory. You do need and accepted explanation for why something reacts the way it does, but can anyone tell me what I would need to prove my hypothesis?" Mr.Smith asks.
Several students *cough* nerds *cough* take their hands to answer. Mr.Smith pretends to think of who to pick, but ultimately picks one of the jocks who he and everyone else knew was not listening at all to the lecture.
"Let's see here, how about we have Colten answer for us." Mr.Smith says as he looks at said teen expectantly.
"A second opinion?" Colten says confused in general. The only reason he was in the class was because it was required.
"Close. Student your need to have multiple data bases to get your information from. Multiple sets of data means having multiple different or the same reactions which can either prove your hypothesis or retaliate against it. Now, read from page 134 to 137 in the textbook and fill out the note sheet by the end of the hour. That gives you about 30 minutes." Mr.Smith then went to his desk and sat down.
"Mr.Sage and Mr.Standford, please stay after class for a couple minutes." Mr.Smith calls out. Kory sinks into his chair not knowing why he had to stay. Colton having a much similar reaction to having to stay after class.
