Timeskip to when Izuku has a week left of school - the day before the entrance exam

3rd POV

"Papaaaa!" Izuku groaned from the floor. The previous Saturday he had gotten hit with a quirk that gave him chronic pain in his hands. The quirk does it all over from tactile contact, but Izuku just punched the guy with both hands. Now, the ravenette was having to deal with the consequences.

"I know, darling, I know." Hizashi soothed his child, wrapping some combat tape around Izuku's hands tightly, easing his pain a bit more. "Let's hope this flare up ends before tommorow. Cant have you at a disadvantage on exam day!" He tries to lighten the mood.

Izuku just teared up, trying his hardest to not disappear into his dimension and stay there. He noticed that he could just escape there and stay there as long as he wanted. The perfect safe space. Though, he couldnt bring anyone else into it, no matter how hard he tried.

"Izuku, time for school." Shota said, striding into the room in his hero uniform, plus the small special condenser Izuku made him. He was getting annoyed with carrying his sleeping bag around, so Izuku made something so he could condense it to fit it onto his belt. Now it just looked like it appeared from his belt whenever he wanted it.

"O- Ok..." Izuku said, getting up from his extra soft carpet and picking his small cat plushie he brought everywhere.

Shota gave the kid a hug as they walked to the door and out to the car, where they spent the ride to school in awkward silence.

"Remember, you have to get the train to UA in the morning if you dont want to be there 3 hours early." Shota reminded him as he was getting out.

"I'll come with. I like helping Nezu with his work." Izuku said, climbing out with his bag and waving, hearing his father grumble something about 'stupid rat corrupting my son'.

Giggling, Izuku made his way over to the special spot he and his friends always met up, seeing the three of them already there.

"Izu!" Shoto piped up, standing and hugging the ravenette.

"'Zuku!" Hitoshi half-gasped, also standing for a hug.

"Zuzu!" Mei Hatsume almost yelled, literally jumping from here crouched position onto the startled black haired boy.

A few months ago, Mei had been publically bullied, and almost killed, but no one did anything! Also, the three of them thought she was cute, though they would never say that, so they invited her to join the group.

Aparently she had been getting bullied for years for her 'weirdness', when it was just a symptom of her ADHD.

"What's with all the hugs today? I will never give up a chance to get a hug, but is there a reason?" Izuku asked, placing the pinkette down.

"We're all taking the exams tommorow. We need support hugs." Hitoshi stated. Everyone else just nodded, and sat down on the bench.

"So, got anything planned to present at your exam, Mei?" Izuku asked.

"Yes! I've decided on baby number 76, baby number 118, and finally baby number 126!" Ahe exclaimed, looking giddy as a child on christmas.

"Names or descriptions please?" Hitoshi requested, voicing everyone else's concerns.

"Oh. Yeah. Well, it's the light refractor, it can temporarily make an object, group of objects, or people invisible or release a focus blast of redirected light. Then there's the hoverwatch, it looks like a simple watch, and transforms into a hoverboard without limits, but all safety features in it. And finally, there's my bodyguard drones! Or as I like to call them: The scary dog privileges!" She exclaimed.

We all giggled at that last name, but collectively decided that they were all some of her best creations.

"Let's meet up at the front gates 10 minutes before briefing. We'll walk in together." Shoto said.

"Okay!" Izuku and Mei agreed instantly, knowing Shoto just wanted to spite his father, since he outright refused to take the recommendation exam.

"Are you guys.... sure you want to be seen with me?" Hitoshi asked, his voice almost a whisper.

They all broke a kitty hearing their little purple head saying this with such sadness.

"Toshi, no-... you are as important as any of us. Which may not be much-, but if we deserve to be at UA, then you do even more! Stop thinking that you arent worth it." Shoto said, hugging the purplenette tight.

Hitoshi started sobbing into Shoto's chest, breaking their hearts. They all just hugged Hitoshi until he calmed down, Izuku giving him some coffee out of nowhere, and they just hung out talking until they had to head inside.

Izuku slipped on his headphones as the crouds were getting a bit too loud and he was being over stimulated, so Hitoshi just stood closer to him to offer some comfort.

Once they reached the classroom, they were greeted by the teacher already there, going through tests they did on Friday.

"Good morning, you 4! First ones here like always." She smiled. "You okay, Izuku?" She asked, voice lowered a bit.

Izuku signed to Hitoshi, who helpfully translated.

"He got too over stimulated in the crouds and went non-verbal. He's okay, though."

"Oh, good. Well, looks like the rest of the class is here, take a seat!" She said as theh all moved to the back corner where they all sat.

Izuku was sat on the end row, second row to the back, in front of Hitoshi. Shoto was sitting next to him whilst Mei was next to Hitoshi. Both people behind already had their hands entangled in the front's hair, scratching at the insanely soft hair.

Mei was humming softly as she carded her fingers through Shoto's hair, Shoto practically purring at the feeling, and Hitoshi and Izuku were the same, though with Hitoshi silent.

As the final student took their seat, the teacher stood at the podium. "Alright, you lot! The principle gave me career aptitude tests... but fuck that! I know you all want to be heroes or supports!" She exclaimed, not caring about the profanity.

At that, the classroom erupted into random quirks, a slight breeze forming and the air warming. Though Izuku's group didnt participate in the shenanigans, Izuku and Hitoshi preferring to fein sleep whilst silently observing. A trait they had both taken from Aizawa, Hitoshi after he started training with the man.

Mei was busy tinkering with a small light she had rewired and redone over a thousand times, but she somehow still found new ways to improve it.

Shoto was just chewing on some of his ice whilst keeping Izuku and Hitoshi warm with the fire side of his quirk, not letting even a flicker of the bright orange flames to show.

Izuku had managed to make Shoto use his fire, resulting in large burns but a grateful Ice prince. Though he only uses it when he needs to. Unless it's for his friends.

"Alright, settle down, settle down! You have all the things you need. Now, let's go through the high schools you want to attend! First we have Nirara Shiako, heading for Ketsubushu! Nice choice there! Then there is..." the teacher listed off the names until she got to the group name a particular four had requested.

"And we have the Outcasts going for UA! 3 Hero course and 1 support! I have no doubt you'll get in!"

There were murmurs about a 2.5% acceptance rate and a national school, but everyone else just ignored it, preferring to continue on with the day as usual.

By the end of the day, Izuku was dead on his feet. Sleeping in Shoto's arms on his fire side, Izuku just napped in the spring-like device Mei made Shoto so he wouldnt strain to hold the ravenette exactly for this purpose.

After an explanation and a passing over of Izuku, the rest of them headed to their individual homes, looking forward to the next day.
