About three weeks had passed since Y/N's return, and they were certainly different to say the least.
Y/N was cold, distant, they even seemed pessimistic now.
They were even that way with Leon, and he hated it.
Luis approached Leon with a frown, seemingly worried for his friend. "Hey Sancho, how ya' feeling?" He asked, putting a comforting hand on Leon's shoulder.
Leon was sitting in the break room, looking through the opened door at Y/N.
He sighed, seeming saddened and disappointed, maybe even a little ashamed.
Luis frowns and sighs. "Still no word from Amante guerrera?" He asks sadly, feeling sad for his friend.
Leon shakes his head "nothin' at all, not even a damn good mornin'." He says with a defeated expression.
Luis thinks for a moment, on a way that he can maybe be some sort of help to his friend.
"Maybe.. Talk to them? Tell them that they did good, that they matter." He suggests, smiling down at Leon.
Leon looks shocked, and a little confused. Truth be told: he sucks at comforting people. "But Luis.. what on earth would I say to them? They seem so.. sad. I just wanna take it away but I don't have any idea how." He says with a frown.
"Think about comfort.. what do you wish someone had said to you after that mission in Spain?.." Luis asks, giving Leon some ideas.
Leon when he was a rookie agent, had always just wanted someone to let him know what happened wasn't his fault. He wanted someone to tell him, that they knew he wouldn't have willingly let any of the bad things that happened happen, if he could have prevented it.
That he had done something, something to try and stop what was happening, something to help people.
That him trying to do anything, was better than him sitting back and doing absolutely nothing.
"Thanks Luis.. I'll, definitely try that." Leon says with a smile, patting Luis on the shoulder.
Luis laughs and smiles. "Anytime Sancho, good luck on tu dulce amor." He laughs and walks away.
Leon looks back at Y/N again, knowing what he wants to say, but not knowing when the right time to say it was
Hours later..
Most people were sitting at home now, it being late at night and wanting to relax after a hard day of work.
Not Leon though, he was still working.
It's a bad habit, but Leon overworks himself to distract him from his need for Alcohol.
Leon decided to go to the break room, to get some water.
When he walked in he saw Y/N, in all their sleepy glory.
Their eyes looked heavy, their hair in a messy ponytail of sorts, their body language showing discomfort and tiredness.
This made Leon extremely worried for them, for their well-being.
Y/N seemed to be fixing themself some coffee while looking over some papers, most likely to do from their mission three weeks ago.
They were obsessing over this mission, disappointed in the outcome and in themself for letting it happen, at least that's what they thought of it.
"Hey Y/N, how are you?" Leon asks softly.
Y/N sort of side eyes him, never taking their eyes fully off their papers while pouring the coffee into a cup. "Fine, about to try and finish up these papers in time to go to the local bar."
