All the memories of Rahim's actions flooded her mind; he was the last person she expected to see. Though she knew they would meet one day but she never anticipated it to be this soon.
Ashraf noticed Anisa's surprise and exchanged a reassuring glance with her. Auntie Nusaiba, expressing her own astonishment, greeted Rahim, "What a surprise! I thought you were in the UK or Sudan."
Awwal observed the interaction between Ashraf and Anisa. Rahim approached, offering greetings, "I was in the UK but returned a few weeks ago and decided to visit."
"Welcome back," Auntie Nusaiba replied.
The Twins and Haidar greeted Rahim warmly. "Hi, Yaya Rahim," they exclaimed, to which Rahim responded with a smile, "Hi identical twins and Haidar, the introvert guy," as he affectionately tousled Haidar's hair.
Awwal suggested breakfast, but Rahim declined, opting for tea since he had already eaten at the hotel. Rahim's gaze lingered on Anisa as he greeted her, acknowledging her presence, "Oh hi, Anisa. You look even more stunning than before," he added, surveying her with a flirtatious glance.
Anisa averted her gaze from Rahim, choosing silence. Ashraf observed the intense look Rahim directed at her, a sentiment echoed not only by him but also by Awwal.
"We're not exactly thrilled to have you here, Rahim, as you can see," Ashraf stated. He and Rahim have never been on good terms, even during Rahim's holiday visits. Their strained relationship didn't stem from witnessing Rahim's actions with Anisa; they simply hadn't gotten along from the start.
"Did I do something wrong?" Rahim inquired innocently.
"Ashraf, that was harsh," Auntie Nusaiba interjected, frowning.
"You, of all people, understand what I mean..... Anyway, welcome," Ashraf responded with a stern expression.
Bukar attempted to diffuse the tension, suggesting a shift in focus, "So, can we continue hearing Ashraf and Anisa's story?"
As they discussed Anisa and Ashraf's frequent arguments, Anisa, preoccupied with her thoughts, found little amusement. Hanif, the habitual teaser, continued to jest with Ashraf.
Post-breakfast, as they headed to the kitchen with their plates, the maid insisted on handling the cleanup. "I have a headache, so I'm going upstairs," Anisa mentioned, biting her lip.
Though Anisa didn't exchange glances with Rahim, he couldn't help but notice her transformation—she radiated beauty, her skin glowing, and her captivating blue eyes unchanged. Rahim's lingering stares, especially at her chest, did not escape Ashraf's notice.
Rahim couldn't help but focus on her chest; Ashraf noticed every lingering glance he gave his beloved Anisa, his 'F' girl.
Wait is it me or what? Ashraf hasn't been calling Anisa F girl.
Increasingly agitated, Ashraf couldn't fathom why Rahim stared so intently at his wife. Regardless of her marital status, it bothered him. Ashraf found himself unexpectedly protective of Anisa, ready to defend her against any perceived threat.
Anisa ascended the stairs, prompting Auntie Nusaiba to discern a tension among the three. Meanwhile, Ashraf saw his friends off as they departed to their car.
"I've never seen a Nigerian girl with blue eyes," Hanif remarked, offering Ashraf a smile.
"Shut up and get in your car," Ashraf retorted with a steely voice.
"You seem furious and jealous. Are you in a competition with Rahim to win the blue-eyed girl?" Hanif quipped while unlocking his expensive car with the key remote.
