Your disaster of a day,
Your mid-life crisis.
What is that in the face of something...
Bigger?
Dare I say more important?
These issues we face,
Obviously are bliss to others.
Thinking about it makes us sick.
To know we deal with petty issues.
So it's easier to be ignorant of it,
And go on with our own lives.
We worry about peer pressure,
About the battery life on our phones,
When they hope someone else
Will worry about their life percentage.
What's your hell,
In the face of someone's bliss?
Never ending boredom,
Nothing left to wonder.
A room full of mirrors,
A tight space.
Would you rather have a never ending void?
With a sense of loneliness
That can only be replaced
by comfort of the mind.
A sense of nostalgia.
Aesthetics.
Or ignorance.
Your problems are now happy thoughts.
Because your bump in the road,
A small obstacle in your life,
Can be fixed,
With the pity of another.
You may not have time for others,
Or their worries.
But helping someone else,
Can distract you from your pain.
And that ignorance,
Is the best bliss.
