The reservation for dinner has been confirmed at the restaurant, and Azlan will be released once the necessary files have been reviewed and signed. The lunch meeting went smoothly, and now he just needs to complete his work efficiently in order to make it home on time.
Azlan, being a 28-year-old guy, had never really tried dating before. He is like the perfect muslim man, isn't he? He was all about that confidence, you know? But deep down, he couldn't deny that it was a whole new feeling for him. The nerves were there, lurking in the background, but he was determined to embrace this uncharted territory. After all, confidence was his middle name!
"Hush! Finally," Azlan whispered to himself as he completed all his work. But before he could pack up and go home, he had something important to handle. He picked up his phone and dialed his P.A.'s number, patiently waiting for her to answer the call.
Inaya's voice came through the phone, filled with anticipation. "Hello! Is there anything you need, sir?" She asked, her words laced with a hint of nervousness. Inaya was shocked when Azlan, the usually rude and arrogant jerk, asked her to come to his office. She couldn't believe her ears when he asked her, "Can you come to my cabin right now?" Inaya was again in a state of shock because this man, who never requests anyone or gives a damn about asking about others' concerns, is now asking her if she can come to his office. Like, seriously? I know she's being dramatic, but you can't blame her for this reaction when a rude, arrogant jerk who is always ordering people around is asking for something.
"Miss Eiliyah you there?" Inaya's heart sank as Azlan called out her name. 'Oh yeah, I'm here,' she responded quickly, her voice tinged with a mix of sadness and resignation. "Sure, I can come to your cabin in just a minute." Deep down, she knew that her heartache stemmed from the fact that Azlan was already married. It was a moment filled with disappointment, as she realized that her feelings would never be returned.
With a nervous flutter in her chest, Inaya gently pushed the door open and stepped into the room. "Come in," he had said, and now she stood before him, her curiosity piqued. She couldn't help but wonder why he had called her. The anticipation filled the air, and she anxiously awaited his explanation.
"Miss Eiliyah," he asked with a hint of pink coloring his ears, "Did you complete the work I assigned?" Eiliyah nodded, her heart pounding with anticipation. "Yes, sir! The tasks you gave me are all done. The paperwork for the upcoming meeting is finished, and I've even assigned Aizan to oversee the project management team." She assured him that everything he had entrusted to her was successfully accomplished, unintentionally forgetting to mention the reason why he had called her.
He mumbled, avoiding eye contact as he asked, "Is the restaurant booking all set?" In that moment, Eiliyah found herself torn between admiration and longing, unsure whether to be in awe of him or to shed a tear for not being able to have him for herself. She couldn't help but yearn to meet his wife, to catch a glimpse of what it truly means to be blessed with luck.
