Exactly one day, three hours, two minutes, and three seconds ago Peter Parker had uttered the fatal words "I have a phenomenal immune system! Spiders can't get sick!" After Tony had joked about the Flu going around his class. Those ten words were his downfall.

Because now, at the present he had woken up at 2:00am with a headsplitting headache, sore throat, and very hurt joints and bones. Originally he figured maybe patrol had tired him out more than he thought, but after two hours of laying there he decided it was that. It could still be a common cold though, so he went to go train in the gym.

He stretched then ran a couple laps, when he had stretched enough he set up the double durable punching bags, (the ones designed for Steve) and started punching. He punched and punched until after an hour the bag finally swung into the wall, creating a small dent. He dragged it into a corner and set up another one. He punched again and this time he broke a sweat, but it took less time to break the bag. He put it in the small pile in the corner and set up his third one. When he had destroyed that one (in 30 minutes) he heard shuffling from the doorway. He looked over to see Nat staring at him.

"Your hands. Don't you know how to wrap them?" Natasha chastised.

"I do! I just, um forgot." Peter defended as he looked down at them, they were bruised and bloody.

"Here, let me wrap them."

"Ok, thanks."

Natasha wrapped his hands in silence, frowning slightly showing she disapproved of the state of them. Peter knew that the exercise had only made his sickness worse. His head felt like someone was banging a hammer into it, and he felt like he could pass out any minute. His joints ached with pain and his bleeding knuckles didn't help. The worst part was his throat, even thinking about talking felt like someone was dragging a knife down his esophagus. When Natasha finished she looked at him, he could see her thoughts racing.

"So... why are you up this early?" She asked slowly.

"I uh, couldn't sleep." He answered.

"Nightmares?"

"No! No nothing like that. I haven't a nightmare since uh...homecoming."

"Oh. Then why couldn't you sleep?"

"Um...I well, I felt bad." Peter mumbled the last part.

"What hurts?"

"Just my throat and head, but please don't tell Mr. Stark! It's only a cold it'll pass!"

"Ok fine. Since it's only a cold I won't tell him. If you feel bad though I tell Tony. Ok?"

"Ok sure."

Natasha then left to do Natasha things, while Peter went to get breakfast. When he got to the kitchen he saw Bucky sitting tiredly next to Steve who was scrolling through his phone. Clint was sitting at the counter polishing his arrows and Wanda was making coffee. Peter grabbed an apple and then put a two waffles in the oven. He got out a plate, knife, napkin and Nutella. When the oven dinged he grabbed the waffles and spread a generous amount of Nutella on them to make a Nutella and waffle sandwich. He sat at the counter and ate. Just then Natasha walked in smirking.

"Peter how are you?" She asked.

"Oh I-I'm perfectly fine!" Peter stammered.

"Great! So how's your cold?"

"WHAT?!? Peter has a cold?!" Wanda immediately yelled which woke up Steve.

"A fucking cold?! Why didn't he tell us?!" Screamed Bucky.

"Language! But Peter you have to tell someone if you feel bad!!!" Steve scolded.

"I did! I told Natasha!" Defended Peter.

"But you also told me not to do anything about it." Added Nat.

Steve left quickly after making sure Peter was fine, followed by Natasha. They whispered as they walked away. Bucky grabbed water for Peter while him, Wanda, Clint, and Peter sat on the couch watching tv.

Soon Tony, Nat, Steve, and Thor walked in. They all had frowns except for Natasha and Steve, they were smirking.

"Peter. Benjamin. Parker. Why did you not tell me?!" Yelled Tony.

"Nat and Steve weren't even supposed to tell you! I didn't want you to worry!" Peter said.

"Come to the lab right now."

Peter knew it was no use arguing so he walked with Tony to the lab with everyone watching him. He felt ashamed, he shouldn't have tried to hide it, maybe then they wouldn't have freaked out so much. When they got to the lab Peter sat down while Tony got the flu/strep test.

"Ok, so we will start with these and if they are negative then we will scan your body." Explains Tony.

"But Mr. Stark! It's not that big of a-" suddenly Peter felt very dizzy. His condition had not gotten better. Now along with his head and throat screaming, he felt like he was going to puke or pass out any moment. He gripped the table and tried to focus.

He vaguely felt Tony's arms around him and barely heard him say "C'mon kid, open up."

Peter slowly opened his mouth and felt the swab go down his throat. He really needed to throw up now. He stayed strong just long enough for Tony to finish, then he immediately puked in the nearest trash can.

Tony rubbed his back saying, "Its ok we don't have to do any more."

Peter felt embarrassed. Here was Peter Parker, Spider-Man, defeated by a little cold. He closed his eyes and layed his head on the desk while Tony looked at the test.

"Hey buddy?" Tony asked Peter.

"Hmhm?" Peter mumbled, half asleep.

"You have type A flu."

"Oh, that's nice."

"Yeah, let's get you to bed."

Tony carried Peter bridal style to bed. He tucked Peter in and made sure he had water, some soup, and the remote. Tony left to let Peter sleep.

Two hours later Peter awoke to Tony shaking him.

"What?" Peter mumbled.

"Hey kiddo, I just need you to drink this. It'll help with the pain." He said as he handed him the medicine.

Peter drank it and fell asleep soon after that. For the next week someone was in Peters room at all times, and slowly he got better.

Natasha took Peter's patrols and no one got hurt. Eventually the news found out about Spider-Man being sick, but luckily they still didn't know Peter's identity. Peter got sent a bunch of cards, gifts and flowers form everyone, including strangers. People were happy when the (very sick) Spider-Man sent them a thank you card back. When Peter emerged from his room flu free, the first thing Tony said was "What happened to your phenomenal immune system huh?"
