"yes mom, i just arrived at the mall" abby says holding the phone to her ear
"Mhm, sure I'll do that, even though that's a bit overdoing it for a highschool reunio- okay okay, I'll do as you say.., bye mom, love you too"

Abby ends call and sighs, she walks through the mall looking into every window beside her, she checks the outfits as one of the shops grabs her attention and she walks in.

Abby steps out of one of the shops with hands full of bags, she got in every single clothing store she could possibly go to, as well as make-up and skincare products shops,

She walks happily until she hears her stomach making sounds, she pauses in the middle of the mall,

"Oh shit, I'm hungry" she says to herself, she thinks for a minute then she starts walking again,

When she arrives at the food court, she finally puts the bags down and lets her wrists rest,

As she orders, a young man passes by her, it's matt,

"Guys, this is stupid, it's just a stupid reunion I won't go" matt says rolling his eyes

"But matt, you never attended any of these reunions, why not come to this one too? How a about a change?" Friend says,

"No thanks, i don't feel like i-" matt pauses when he feels like his eyes glanced at something familiar, really familiar..

He looks at where he glanced, to see abby sitting there, talking on the phone,

His eyes tear up a little in shock and disbelief, it's the first time he sees her in three years, he stands there not knowing what to do but be shocked, his eyes glued to her,

"Oh come on chloe, come with me, i never went to these reunions once, so I won't know anybody when i go tomorrow, you're the only one i know , so come with me tomorrow, we'll have fun i promissse" abby begs Chloe

"Hey what's wrong? Why did you stop?" Matt's friend asks,

Matt stays silent for a second still processing, then without hesitation he says while still not taking his eyes off abby,

"Hey, i think I'm going to the reunion tomorrow"

"What?! For real??" His friend asks confused

"No actually, I will go to the reunion tomorrow"

"That's cool But what made you cha---"
Matt's hearing blocks everything in the background as he watches abby laugh in the phone, it's been so long since he've seen her laugh like this, his heart beating changes from regular to abnormaly fast, everyone in the background blur, their memories flash befor his eyes,

Reality comes back when his friend nudges him,

"Hey? Matt, what're you thinking?" Friend asks

"Huh? A-ah nothing, let's go" he says as they start to leave, he turns to glance at her one last time, then turns to leave.
