A phone rings as a girl stands there holding it, dialing someone,

She stands there hopelessly waiting for this person fo answer,

"hello?"

Abby jolts as she hears a girl answering Matt's phone,

"helloo?"

She rushingly hangs up,
She stares at her phone for a few more seconds before she tiredly sighs,

Abby goes to her dorm as she gets in her room, and puts her bag down,

"did you call matt?" linda asks (her friend from college from chapter 5)

Abby jolts as she didn't even notice linda was awake,

Linda is at the bottom bed sitting on it like she was laying down but just got up,

"yeah what did he say? Is he coming to see you soon? It's been so long since you guys hanged out together" sara asks,

As she peeks at abby, laying her chin on the edge of the bed and hanging her arms from the upper bed,

"oh, ...he was busy, he didn't get a chance to answer"
Abby says not looking at them, as she cleans her desk,

Sara looks down at linda as linda looks up to her,

"abby... Are you su-"

"I'm sure he'll call me back when he's less busy, his major is hard after all" abby interrupts linda, as she speaks fast to not even give her a chance to complete her sentence,

"I'm going to sleep" abby says as she doesn't even bother changing her clothes,

she closes the lights and goes to lay on her bed,

Sara and linda just look at her in silence, worried but rather not say anything,

"okay.., goodnight" linda says as she lays back and sara follows,

Abby lays there as she stares at the wall facing her,
She presses her lips together trying not to cry loudly,

As tears fall one after the other, silently, as she falls asleep.

"WOAH, that's hard!" sara says,

Abby frowns in bed as she opens her eyes, slightly looking around her to make her eyes adjust,

She tiredly and slowly gets up to sit instead of laying,

"oh..! Did we wake you up?" sara says as they're sitting at the desk that's between sara/Linda's bed and abby/raya's bed,

Abby glances behind to them still half asleep,

"sorry, we were loud, weren't we?" linda says, frowning apologetically,

Abby coughs one time,
"no, it's fine, i had to wake up anyway" abby says,

Then she tiredly gets up and gets out of her room door,

Leaving sara and linda looking at her leave, concerned.

Abby washes her face trying to get it together,
As she wipes it with her sleeves,

She jolts when someone walks in,

As her eyes and this person's meet,

"oh! Abby!"

"hm? Raya, did you just come back to the dorm??"
