That evening, Celestia sent word to her cousin, Lilly, that she should accompany her to Avalon to meet the King and enjoy a ball in a foreign kingdom. Lilly had been her best friend since they were young girls as she was the daughter of the only Duke and Duchess Ambrose and if you asked the princess, you would hear that they were like sisters despite only being cousins. The young lady was not a cat shifter like the royal family but rather is a beautiful wolf shifter with an amethyst purple fur and hair colour. Celestia wanted her cousin to join her on the trip so that she had someone she knew to talk to and maybe find her a husband while they were at the ball. Both girls have had their fair share of proposals from the young noblemen of the Purvanian Kingdom, but all of them just wanted the power that came with the title of King Consort and Duke Ambrose.

After breakfast the next morning, the two ladies exchanged their farewells with their families and boarded the carriage that had been prepared for them. Before leaving, Celestia's brother gave her a hair clip that resembled a shooting star. She smiled a big smile at her elder brother before giving him a hug and letting him know that she will miss him but she will write and that he better keep up with his knight training.

"Lilly, are you as excited for this journey as I am?" The young princess asked her best friend who was seated across from her in the carriage.

"Celeste, you know I am happy because you asked me to come along. I have gotten tired of always receiving marriage proposals from all those guys who are only interested in my title. Maybe we will both find someone to marry while we're here" Lilly replied with a sigh. They had not been on the road long before they had reached the port where the envoy's ship was docked. Avalon is a big kingdom across the ocean from Purvania and it would take anywhere from a few weeks to a month to reach their final destination; Avalon Castle. The two girls chatted away excitedly wondering what type of kingdom the Pendragon family created and what type of person he was. Upon arrival at the docks, Sir Kai opened the door to the carriage and offered his hand out to the ladies to help them down while the other knights and dock workers began to load their luggage onto the breathtaking boat.

The boat was not a simple ship like one would expect to see transporting passengers over the large ocean. This boat was clearly made of the finest quality materials and adorned with red gems with black trimmings while flying the flag of the Avalon Kingdom, a black dragon soaring high above a mountain peak. Both ladies gasped at the sight of the magnificent ship and their excitement and curiosity grew more and more. Upon boarding the ship, the young knight from before guided them to their rooms they would be staying in for the next 3 weeks. The rooms were spacious with beds that could fit two people and were as comfy, if not comfier than the beds they had back home. Exhausted from the long day, both girls bade goodnight to the knight and retired to their respective rooms.

Three weeks later and the boat was preparing to dock at the port of Gale, the port city of Avalon. Waiting for them at the port was a fancy carriage adorned similarly to the ship; black trimmings with red gems and a black dragon crest on the side and flying on the flag on top. It would be another week or two until they had reached the castle gates of Avalon and they would be travelling through several more cities and staying at inns along the way so they do not have to always be camping outside, not that either girl would mind since they were shifters and could shift if they needed to. Midway through their journey, however, their carriage abruptly stopped. Curious as to why, Lilly drew aside the curtains on the windows beside the door and asked Kai who told them that blocking the way was a group of bandits wanting the ladies to hand over all their jewels if they wished to remain unharmed. The knight squad that is serving as their escort did not let this threat go unpunished and proceeded to make the group surrender quickly and without any injuries to the girls. When they reached the next city, Sir Kai handed over the captured bandits to the authorities to be taken care of.

"Hey Lilly~," Celestia began cheekily to her cousin, "What do you think of our knight over here? Pretty cool right?"

"Puffy.." Lilly replied with a blush and looked away from the knight. Soon after, they fell into a comfortable silence as they made the final day's journey to the castle.
