Trigger warning for strong language

A few days passed and Issei was beginning to wonder where the princess went. Celestia had mentioned she wanted to go into town the other day but she is not back yet. Where is she? He thought to himself as he noticed the sun was beginning to rise and realising he had spent the night working again. Just then, Sir Leo rushed in looking dishevelled and scared as he explained that someone had blown up the bakery a few streets over from where they had been shopping and how when he went to investigate, someone managed to sneak up on him and knock him out

"Your Majesty! She promised she would stay in the shop while we went to investigate but when we got back, she was gone!" He explained.

Enraged, King Issei's eyes started going black and his aura started leaking out more, causing the knight to shrink back. Staring right at the knight, Issei asked him to repeat what he just said. "So knowing your duty was to protect the princess, you LEFT HER ALONE AND UNGUARDED to go investigate an explosion? Were you not briefed on why I assigned the dragon shifters as her guards?! There is some creep who has been stalking her and sending her detailed letters about her every move outside the safety of these walls!" He slammed his fists down on the desk as he instructed Oliver to tell the Lovelies that they are not to leave the castle under any circumstances. Sir Leo brought the King to the scene of the explosion and traced all their moves from that day. Issei, eyes still pitch black with the gold pupils looking like flames, asked the shopkeeper where the princess had gone and with whom.
"Y-Your Majesty! It is true that the Princess was here but shortly after she ordered the knights to go investigate, a young man came by telling the princess that Sir Leo here had sent him to escort her to safety as the area was no longer safe. I do not know where they went after they left the shop. He said he was acting on his orders so I saw no reason to question it!" The shop owner explained hurriedly trying to escape the wrath of the Dragon of Dragons who happened to be their king.

After that day, it felt like one day turned into two, two into three, and before anyone could blink, a week had passed with no word or sign of the missing princess. One week soon turned into two and Issei was beginning to grow more and more frustrated that no one had any idea where she was. There would be war if word of this kidnapping spread to Purvania. He did not want to go to war with anyone and just wanted to settle down with his Lovelies and enjoy a time of peace and prosperity. A knock on his study door broke his train of thoughts. "Enter" he told the person on the other side and a servant he did not recognize entered. Issei shot a quizzical look in the lovely's direction and waited for her to speak.

"Sir, I think I know who kidnapped the princess. His name is Altair Riversteel and he is the vampire prince" Gaya said.

"Riversteel did not have any children. When they were executed when I took over the kingdom, they made no mention of any heirs nor did any of the servants we questioned. There is no way I missed any monster from that clan" He growled out.

"I understand Sir. However, with help from Dae, I was able to see that on the day the people stormed the castle in a revolution, there was a young child that had escaped with the help of one of the old servants who carried the small child on their back as they made their escape into the forest. I've been searching the forest for any signs of her and came across a weird portion where it feels like you are going around in circles. I also found the ring that you give to all the Lovelies with your Pendragon crest engraved on it a few minutes into the forest on the other side of where Sir Leo happens to reside. Is it possible that Sir Leo was in on all of this? Also, it is my understanding that you gave it to her as it was meant to be a protective charm that would also help locate her should anything happen. It is likely Altair discarded it after taking the princess as he knew what it meant."

"You might be correct, Gaya. It was meant to protect her and I saw her wearing it as instructed whenever she left the castle. This bastard is NOT going to get away with hurting her. You know where I can find this monster already don't you. You would not have come here with this information after all this time if you did not already have an idea." Issei knew that this Lovely was smarter than she lets on to others and she was the only person to come forward with any new information in weeks. "Show me where they are. I will personally go greet this son of a bitch" he growled with a sadistic smile and laugh. This bastard messed with the wrong dragon. NOBODY touches my lovelies and lives to tell the tale.
