Mark froze as he saw Ji Eun talking, laughing and touching Jaebum's face. Jimin didn't notice it and walked in first but Mark decided to watch the scene in front of him silently as he stayed at the door frame.

JI EUN
"내가 누군지? (Who am I?)" Jaebum asked as he adjusted his voice.
"내 바보 소년? (My silly Boy?)" she asked playfully smiling at him.
"Y-Yah!" JB complained not expecting such answer making her start to crack up.
"How are you?" Jaebum asked.
"A little dizzy but I'm fine now." Ji Eun said still touching his face.
"Did you eat yet?" Jaebum asked holding her hands in his.
"No, but I'm not hungry." Ji Eun said.
"Where are your glasses?" Jaebum asked as he didn't see them around the bed.

Mark put his hands into his pockets and took her glasses out. He had enough looking at his leader interacting with Ji Eun. He walked in and tossed her glasses to Jaebum as they made eye contact. Jaebum's reflexes were on point as caught it on time.

"Here." Jaebum said and placed her glasses back on.
Ji Eun wanted to ask him where he got her glasses when he said "Thanks Mark! Mark come here."
Ji Eun froze in her position as Mark walked in.
"What's up." Jaebum asked starting a normal conversation with Mark.
"C-Can I talk to you for a second.. outside." Mark asked referring it to Ji Eun.
Just as he said that Jaebum looked at Jamie since he knew that she would always update him on how Ji Eun was doing. The look he gave him was a question, whether Mark knew about Ji Eun's condition already or not but she shook her head from left to right and Jaebum's eyes widen for a split second.

"Wait. I'll help you sit outside. Mark could you bring her something to drink please." Jaebum asked looking at him. He nodded in silence before he walked out first.
"Jaebum.. I can't talk to him." Ji Eun said quietly as he helped her to get out of bed.
"Look. I'll help you sit outside on a chair. You will talk to him and if YOU want to tell him then you should. I'll bring 복숭아 with you okay? If something's wrong just yell my name, we're here. No one forces you to say anything" Jaebum said looking into her eyes. She nodded.
"It will be fine." Jaebum said giving her strength.
"Okay.. thanks Jaebum oppa." she said.
"No problem." he said and gave 복숭아 a sign to come. Jaebum then helped you out and sat you down before he gave her the leash from 복숭아. They both waited till Mark came back with a drink for her. Then he patted her back lightly and disappeared behind the door back into the room the just came from.

"Here. I know you like this drink." Mark said and handed her that watermelon drink she liked to drink back when they were at the hospital in the US.
"Thank you." she smiled politely.
"So, what do you want to talk about?" she asked with confidence though her fingers were fidgeting around the drink she was holding.
She already wanted to tell him since Jaebum assured her that it was her decision only.
Mark was silent and looked at her. She felt him staring at her.

"So, is that girl in there.. your girlfriend?" Ji Eun asked to break the silence.
"Yes." Mark answered .
"It that the trainee you were talking about?" she smiled asking him.
"Yeah, but she's not a trainee anymore. In fact, she debuted weeks ago." he said looking down.
"And you're happy with your relationship, right?" Ji Eun asked wanting to make sure he was happy.
"Yeah. She's really great but.. you and Jaebum.. is there something going on between you two?" Mark asked scratching the back of his neck before he turned to look at her.
"Me and Jaebum? I think we're just really close. Even though I don't.. see.. him much I always feel better when he's around." she said smiling at the thought of it.
"Aah, so you like him?" Mark asked not taking his eyes off of her. She sighed as she couldn't keep it a secret from him anymore.

"I guess..but Mark I need to tell you something if you don't already know" Ji Eun started getting serious.
"Well, what is it? Jimin told me why you were gone and why Jaebum's here but that about it" Mark said.
Ji Eun stroked 복숭아's fur and said "Okay. This is my dog 복숭아. I have him for a long time now and he's like my second soul, if I may say so myself. He means a lot to me." she said introducing her dog to him.
"Is he a gift from Jaebum that he means a lot to you?" Mark asked misunderstanding.
"W-What?! No! I got him from my parents!" she said annoyed at his tone.
"Oh.. okay. I- Sorry.." Mark said a little embarrassed.
"Well, I always take him with me since I live alone and feel lonely walking alone on the streets." she said.
"What about Jamie?" he asked.
"Well, most of the time she's practicing, or works at the company in general or she's busy preparing for another episode of ASC and other things. So, she doesn't have that much time but she tries her best to visit me as much as possible." Ji Eun said.
"And why do you know this doctor so well?" Mark asked changing the topic as he wanted to get to the point.

"Mark. I know that doctor b-because I had to stay here for a long time. Let's just say that it was a week even though it was more. The thing is that.." Ji Eun started getting to the point.
"Wait. And why are you wearing sunglasses all the time. I mean you're not a celeb or idol to hide and the sun ain't here inside the building." he said without thinking much of it.
"Yeah, you're right." Ji Eun said annoyed at that weird question and statement making her take off her glasses to only have her eyes closed for now as she had to prepare herself for the next thing she was about to do.
"The fucking reason why I have my dog, why I wear these sunglasses and why I know doctor Choi so well is.. is because I fucking lost my eyesight!! Okay?! I'm blind!! I-I don't even know how you look like anymore.." she said opening her eyes to let him see for himself before breaking into tears.
One of her eyes looked normal while the other lost some color. Mark froze and stood up as she saw her eyes before Ji Eun stood up as well.
"I'm sorry that I left without saying anything. I'm sorry that I didn't pick up your calls. I'm sorry that I didn't tell you that I was going through this but-" she said and dropped down onto her knees. Mark stood there not knowing what to do. Luckily no one was near that corridor to witness everything, otherwise Ji Eun would get help from any nurse who walked by to get back up.

"W-why d-didn't you tell me?!" Mark said almost crying but he tried to hold it back.
"B-because I couldn't. I knew I got my memory and you were being so nice to me. I honestly started to feel how I used to about you but as you mentioned a girl you liked I decided to just not ruin it for you. I tried moving on as it was me who broke up to begin with. Even though, I could've had a reason to try again, you cheated on me before, therefore I didn't to anything about my feelings towards you and let them die over time. Because I wanted you to be happy and not worry about me since it wasn't your duty to do so anymore." she said covering her face in her palms.
"But Ji Eun.." Mark frowned.
"It's fine now. I mean you just assured me that you are happy, with her. And you don't need to look after me anymore. At least I don't have any secrets from you now. Focus on your relationship and let me live my life" Ji Eun said interrupting Mark.
"But Ji Eun.. I-I can't just let you live like that knowing you're not fine." Mark said kneeling down in front of her.
"Mark, I am fine" Ji Eun said wiping her tears away and stood up.
"You're fine. We now have to separate ways I guess. You might meet me when I'll visit your dorm once Jaebum will tell the others about my illness but I won't be able to.. see.. you ever again. And I'm sorry about that but there's no other way. You need to take care of someone else now. Someone better. And I really do want you to do that and get over me the way I got over you" Ji Eun said with a heartbreaking smile.
"Ji Eun.. but it's all my fault!" Mark said and started crying like a waterfall seeing how strong Ji Eun was even though she was broken inside.
"Promise me, not to miss me and care for your girlfriend instead of me. Please?" she said moving closer to him and decided to let him cry over her shoulder.
"But if I promise. How do you know that I won't break it again.." Mark said thinking about how he cheated on her. How many times he broke her heart.
"You won't. Because I trust you. Even though I can't really see you. I can hear you and I feel your presence. You're a good person and you know that too. So please, promise me.." Ji Eun said patting his back.
"O-Okay, I will.." Mark said and cried even more letting it all out as he felt so bad about everything that happened between them.
"I'm so sorry Mark. Now I broke you.." she said quietly and kept patting his back to comfort him. And just like that they both stayed comforting each other like friends.
"Let's keep our relationship in the past and move on as friends" Ji Eun suggested whispering to him as he only agreed nodding at her.
