The stars glimmered brightly against the pitch black Goikian sky.

This night was rather peaceful—after all, a challenge just ended. The contestants rested, needing to regain their energy. There was no telling when Two would start the next challenge, so they savored every bit of time they could get. Even so, A few contestants would find themselves restless that night.

Eggy happened to be one of them.

The yellow-spotted egg hopped out of bed, having tried to sleep 2763 times already. She needed some time to clear her mind, preferably somewhere... less crowded. She tip-toed her way out of the room, wincing slightly as the door slammed shut on accident.

Where would she go, though? Considering her options, she could creep out of the hotel and try to find a nice patch of yellow grass to sit in, or...

It wasn't too long before she reached the top of the building, though the elevator had turned off for the night, her team's room was on one of the higher floors. Walking out, she noticed a familiar figure sitting at the ledge of the roof.

"I didn't really expect anyone else to be up here," she sat next to the drop of liquid. They simply glanced at her, before resuming... whatever they were doing.

"So... what brings you up here?" She asked. Not looking down, they pointed towards the sky.

The stars looked especially beautiful, as if shining brighter just for this night. Yet there was something calming about it. Eggy stared at the slowly blinking stars, admiring the view.

Only when Teardrop tapped her "shoulder", did she look down. They pointed at her, before doing several other signs. Though it would be confusing to most people, Eggy knew exactly what they meant.

She felt as if she was hit by a mental brick. She frantically dug through her thoughts, trying to sort it all out. Eggy gulped, she had tried to suppress her thoughts before, but it just kept coming back. It always did.

She felt a hand land gently on her back. Teardrop looked at her, a concerned look on their face. She sighed.

"Okay..." She started to ramble, letting her thoughts unfold. After all, she knew it wasn't good to keep it in. She talked about how she still (somewhat) felt like it was her fault her team lost, about worrying that she'll get eliminated...

As time went on, the topic of conversation quickly drifted away from Eggy's worries.

"Yeah, we had a pretty tall stack at first, but then Eraser knocked it over. Uh," Eggy groaned. Teardrop simply nodded in agreement. Eggy paused for a moment before continuing.

"...I gotta say, thanks for listening to me, Teardrop. I don't know what other people think, but in my opinion, you just seem like a pretty cool person. I mean, you survived an entire challenge, all by yourself! If that isn't impressive, I don't know what is!"

Finishing her sentence, she looked up to face the drop. They looked as if they were on the verge of tears (ha tears), staring at her with wide eyes. Unexpectedly, they pulled her into a hug, smiling brighter than they had ever smiled before.

Eggy smiled, trying her best to hug back with her legs (being armless and all). The two stayed for a good few seconds before separating, still smiling at each other.

"I really hope I don't get eliminated though..." Eggy admitted. Teardrop shook their head, smiling softly at the egg. "You really think so?" They gave her a thumbs up. Before long, the two were "talking" again, exchanging various views and opinions.

Life can get hard on The Power Of Two, but it's always better with a friend by your side.
