"Well Dream, lets go. We'll discuss this thing at home. Ranboo and Connor will start to worry." Phil said
"Okay Phil! (He turns towards XD and Night) Bye XD! Bye Night! Let me know if you see Foolish okay?"
"For sure Daydream.. Goodbye.." XD replied with a hint of grief and regret in his voice.
"Bye Daydream.. (mutters to XD) Do you think Foolish knows a-about t-this?"
"Probably, if he does he's acting very well like Daydream used to. If not, well...."
"What were you saying?" Dream asked
"Oh nothing Daydream.. Goodbye.. oh and Merry Christmas.." XD replied
"It's Christmas already? Wow! Merry Christmas XD and Night! See you!"
"See you Daydream.."
(Phil, Techno and Dream walk through snow. While Phil and Techno are not so content, Dream seems to be enjoying himself. He skips and floats around merrily, following Phil and Techno. They reach into the warm and cozy cabin.)
"Finally home" Techno says
"True..(sighs) What will you eat for breakfast today Techno and Dream?" Phil says
"I'll just eat a toast." replies Techno
" And Dream? (dead silence) Dream??"
"He's window gazing or whatever." says Techno
"Guess he's really fond of winter and Christmas huh? He always loved snow, Christmas and New Year as a kid. And believe it or not you used to celebrate it together.. such wonderful days.."
"Well I remember all right. SMILEY FACE! (Dream turns) What do you wanna eat?"
"Oh uhm, toast?" Dream replied
"Okay Dream give me 15 minutes to make the toast. What about Ranboo and Connor? What do they prefer?" asks Phil
"They prefer chocolate spread on bread." Dream replied
"Alright in 15 minutes your food will be ready. Also Dream, Techno please help me set up decorations.. New Year is tomorrow."
"Alright Phil, will anyone be coming? I really want to meet some people!" Dream said excitedly
"Sure, I guess we could hold a party in the community house..."
(whispering to Phil) "Is that even a good idea? All of them will be there."
(whispering back) "Well , they'll have to know someday.."
Some footsteps are heard. Then..
(yawns quietly) "Good Morning Mama!" Ranboo screams happily
"WAIT FOR ME!!" Connor screams from the room. (With a grumpy face) "He just left me! Also, good morning Mama."
"Good Morning you both" Dream says
"Dream, good news! We're celebrating New Year in the community hall with everyone else."
"Yay!"
"Well get ready now.. We have to set up decorations smiley."
"Okay!"
"Can we help?" Both the younger ones say
"Of course! The more the merrier" says Phil
They all get to work. By evening, the decorations are set and all is looking beautiful and quite lively. They go back to their cottage and fall asleep. The next day they get up all cheerful and happy. Festivities were going to be there for the whole day! Little did they know, for some it would be day, with a hint of dread.
The celebrations begun, everyone was there. Then..
"Thank You all for coming here today. But, before that, we have a small announcement." Phil said. His eyes were starting to water.
"What is it Phil?" Sapnap asked from the crowd "It can't be so bad!"
"Well.. i-it is that-" Phil started
A huge figure appeared out of nowhere, knowing Phil wasn't able to complete his sentence.
"Dream's Dead." said XD
