THE TWIST OF FATE (Taekook ff)

Part 3

Their argument ceased when the phone rang. Tae pulled out his phone from his pocket to check who was calling him but when he checked the caller, he was surprised.

Tae:- (Tae exclaimed in a hurry), "Oh no, Appa is calling!". (He quickly stood up to leave.)

JK:- (Jk intervened and gently pulled him back down to sit, saying,) "Hey, relax. Why are you panicking? Just answer the call and tell him that you're with me. I'll make sure you get home safely. Okay?"

Tae:- (Tae hesitated but still insisted,) "No, I-I mean, I can go by myself. Just let me go," (as he stood up again.)

JK:- (JK also stood up and looked at Tae suspiciously.) "What's the matter, Tae?" he asked.

Tae:- "Tae replied, "Kookie, we'll talk later. I really have to reach home as soon as possible."( Tae was about to leave, but Kook held his hand to stop him. )

JK:- (Tae was about to say something when again his phone rang. JK commanded him to pick up the call, still holding onto him. ) Pick up the call tae.

Tae:- (Tae tried to free himself from JK's grasp, asking) "What are you doing kookie, leave my hand."

However, he didn't listen to him and made him sit.

Jk;- That's what I want to know tae, what's happening? What are you doing? it seems like something is bothering you, but you haven't shared it with me. I've been ignoring it, hoping that you would eventually tell me, but the truth is that I can sense you're hiding something. It's been over a year now, and I'm finding it harder to wait. ( he said frustrated as he was running out of patience )

Tae:-kookie please, nothing is as you are thinking.

Jk:- ( he took a deep breath and said) Yeah, I might be thinking too much. Why would you do something like this? We share everything with each other. Right Tae ( he sarcastically said, )

Tae got the sarcasm in Kook's voice, but he chose to ignore it as now he had no answer to his question. Which made Kook angry, so without saying anything he got up and left from there without saying anything.

Tae:- Kook ( he called him to stop but when he didn't stop tae also ran after him) Kookie what's wrong? Why y---- ( he didn't complete his sentence as Kook absurdly turned and glared at him.)

JK:- Not now tae. I don't want to burst out on you. So, it's better if we leave from here.

Tae:- ( he just giggled to light up the mood and said) Kookie I know you can't get angry with me. So, your attempt to scare me is futile.

His words here only added fuel to the fire and made Kook even more angry.

Jk:- (He grabbed Tae's hands and pulled him towards himself, causing tae to gasp from the sudden action.) Is this why you are taking me for granted? Huh. You can't every time make some silly comment and think that everything will be like before. (he yanked him) It hurts, every time thinking about that the person you value most, have importance in your life and he knows every little thing about your life. But in that same person's life, you stand nowhere. And it's freaking hurt tae.

And this is the moment tae realizes how stupid he was to think that he is handling everything smoothly. But the thing is you can't do everything at once and while trying to do that you will unintentionally hurt someone. that's the thing he did. He hurt his best friend, who was always there as his support system, his safe place, the person who was there in his ups and downs.

Tae:- K-Kook ( he stuttered)

Jk:- No Tae, I really don't want to listen to any explanation now. Not when I'm not in my right mind. So, let's go I'll drop you off ( he said and was about to turn to go but again he looked at tae and said) and don't worry I'll drop you a little far from your locality as always. So, you don't have to worry. ( Saying this he left from there leaving the guilty boy there alone standing.)
