Kook's sleep was disturbed by the sunrays that pierced through his curtains. He had slept late the night, almost early in the morning. He had been feeling out of sorts since he dropped Tae off after their argument. When he got back home, his mother bombarded him with questions about the date, but he didn't want to tell her anything just yet, he was drained out of energy. He managed to divert her attention to something else and went to his room feeling drained.
After dinner, he messaged Tae to let him know he had arrived home but didn't wait for a reply. He turned off his phone and put it in his nearby drawer. He lies down on his bed, contemplating what went wrong between him and Tae. They were almost inseparable but now he realizes they need a reason to see each other, so he deliberately messages Tae to come to a restaurant today. So, they could meet each other Since Tae entered his final year, things have changed.
Whenever he calls or messages Tae, he often gets ghosted or receives an "I'm busy" reply. For god's sake despite being the CEO of the company, he still manages to find time to call and message Tae. But he thinks Tae might be really busy with studies as he knows how ambitious the omega is, but Tae's behaviour still bothers him. However, he can't do anything other than wait, which is exactly what he plans to do.
If the other person doesn't approach him first and demonstrate that he also values their friendship by sharing what the problem is, he won't bother showing his face. Sometimes, everyone craves attention, love, and care. We all want to feel important to those we care about. This was the kind of relationship he had with Tae. They always showed care, love, and affection towards each other and were there for each other when needed. However, he now feels like he's the only one putting effort into their friendship and that it's drifting apart.
He might be overthinking things, and perhaps there is nothing wrong, and it's just his mind playing tricks on him. However, he cannot deny the fact that Tae was going to tell him something. This means that something suspicious is going on, and until he finds out what it is, he won't be able to sleep peacefully.
He tossed and turned in his bed, emitting a groan from his mouth. It was clear he wouldn't be getting any peaceful sleep anytime soon. Glancing at the clock on the wall, he realized it was almost 9 and he was running late for work.
He skipped his morning workout and went straight to freshen up. While setting his hair after a shower, his thoughts drifted to Tae. That little rat who loved to mess up his hair, despite knowing that he doesn't like it when anyone touches his hair. But that's exactly what Tae does, and no matter how much he shows his irritation, he secretly loves it when Tae do that and giggles after that ohh so lovingly, showing his tongue just to tease him more. This thought of Tae brought a smile to his face.
It's ironic how a person, or even just the memory of them, can elicit such a range of emotions. One minute you're smiling and laughing, and the next moment you're feeling sad. That's exactly what happened to him - he slowly lost his smile and felt a wave of sadness wash over him as he thought about yesterday's incident. But he shook off those thoughts and got out of the washroom to get dressed for work.
As he descended the stairs, he noticed his parents reading the newspaper with great concentration from a distance. This was quite unusual as he knew that his mother never let his father read the newspaper at the dining table, let alone discuss business matters. Intrigued, he approached them and startled them as he spoke out of nowhere.
Kook:- what's going on here? ( He asked)
His parents look at him as if they just saw a ghost. His mother glared at him for scaring them which he just shrugged it off and took his respectively sit on the dining table. His mother also took a seat at the dining table taking a seat in front of him still glaring at him which weirded out him, so he again asked to know what just happened, and why his mother still glaring at him.
