Rayla still felt pretty down. Where the hell are they? They have to be here. They have to be... Her thoughts were interrupted by Callum walking into the room. "Hi," she said, still unsure of just why they weren't there. He sat down next to her and laid a hand on her shoulder. "Well, apparently, Viren should be in a place called Drasonious. The land of the... I don't know. Dead villains. We can try to ask, but you killed him. He may not tell us."

"He has nothing to lose. Literally. I have heard the legends. They have absolutely nothing! Just lava and rock," she said. She thought for sure he would tell her.

"I'm not going to tell you, elf!" Rayla gaped at Viren's almost scared face. "You have to! I'm not above beating the truth out of you." "No! I won't speak! You won't do anything." Rayla stared at him. She glared at him. His face gave way into absolute fear. Rayla laughed internally. Viren, the most dangerous human in the world, was afraid of her. "Your parents are gone! Accept that! You will never know where they are!"

Rayla raised her fist. "Alright! I'll tell you!" Viren sighed. "They're trapped in cursed coins." Coins. "How many elves have you captured in those?!" "Three. Erm... uhh... I think... Runa- Runaan? That it? Runaan?" Rayla took a step back. Runaan. Callum frowned at Viren. "And... er... and your parents. I never caught their names-" "Lain and Tiadrin!" Rayla snapped.

"Right. Okay. Lain and Tiadrin. Tiadrin convinced me not to destroy the egg-" "We know!" "Alright! Tell me what you know, and I'll tell you the rest."

"Here's what we know. You trapped three people Rayla loved in coins. We do not know how. Tiadrin convinced you not to destroy the egg, and you took it back to Katolis. Did Harrow- did Dad know of this?" Callum asked. "No. He- he didn't. Like everybody else, he, too, thought I destroyed it." "Got it. Tell us the details."

"Okay. Your father, Lain, he was a brave man. But he did not offer the same council as Tiadrin did. I still am not totally heartless. I spared his life! He lives. He is trapped in a coin, as Runaan and Tiadrin are. It's... complicated. I know not where the coins are. But the last time I saw them, they were in my-" There was a pause as Viren took a breath, remembering he had lost his authority. "The high mage's office. So, I doubt you will see them anytime soon."

Rayla let the tears well up on her eyes, but she tried hard not to let them spill. She stood up and ran. Callum had noticed that when her parents or Runaan were involved, she tended to do that. He ran after her, yelling her name. Viren sighed in relief as she left. Geez, she's terrifying. Callum ran as fast as he could to catch her, but she was faster. She always had been. Callum fell behind as she escaped him. As she ran away.

A/N: Seems kinda canon that Viren would be afraid of Rayla, you know, considering she killed him. Anyway, Lain and Tiadrin actually are their names, according to Google. I knew Runaan never directly told him his name, so I figured he might stumble over his words trying to remember. Maybe Gren told him off camera. Anyway, hope you liked this chapter.
