Well that didn't go well, I guess I kind of thought that it would change something if it was his wife speaking. But apparently not. But he claims Jay said that he wanted to be left alone, that's not like him, I know for a fact that he would want to know that his wife was found. My God how clueless and self centered Is this guy. We'll, I'd better go make sure haileys ok

I walked into the living room, and Hailey was just sitting on the couch staring into space

"He doesn't love me anymore does he? I'm to broken, and too much work" she said looking up at me

"No, Hailey, he does love you, he spent forever looking for you and never gave up hope, his commanders just got a stick up his butt" i said and she laughed

"But, I've got an idea, to get in contact with him, I was doing some research and it turns out he goes back to the base every Sunday. So, what I want to do is try to call the cook, and see if she can tell him to call, since I used to work with her, I'm hoping she'll cooperate"

"What are you waiting for call!!" Hailey said practically shaking in excitement

"Hello, yes, this is Will Halstead, we used to work together"

"Mmhmm yes he should be coming to base on Sunday, I was wondering if you could please tell him to call his wife"

"Yes the number is ###-###-###"

"Thank you so much, I'm sorry to bother you I tried going through his commander, commander reyes but he's being a real piece of work"

"Alright goodbye"

"She said she would let him call on her phone, he should be there in a few hours"

"Yesss"

"But, in the meantime you said you have work tomorrow?"

"Yeah, I got cleared and Voight said they still have an empty spot"

"Ok, well why don't you write down a list of groceries, and go shower while I go get them" I suggested seeing as ut didn't look like she had showered in weeks

"Uh, I can't I don't have any soap, I was going to go get it but....." She started rambling

"Woah, Hailey calm down, it's not a big deal"

"K, Hailey, you get dressed then meet me in the truck" I said

"Ok"

A few minutes later she walked out and got in the car

"Alright walmart?" I asked

"Yeah, sure" she said getting buckled and looking out the window

It's weird but also not, she being really quiet and jumpy, I don't know what happened all I know is Jay said she had been kidnapped and now 3 years later she shows up. So that is why she's acting like this, but it's still so weird to see her like this

"Alright we're here"

We both climbed out of the car and headed in

I grabbed a cart and we decided to split up, I was going to go find food and hailey was going to grab her soap since she couldn't remember what kind she liked.

I reminded her, that she had a phone now, and could call me if she needed anything, I could tell she was nervous, because of how tense her back was, and she was fidgeting with her ring.

I don't know what happened to her phone but I have to assume it got destroyed by whoever took her

I started getting food, basic stuff like milk, eggs, bread, and some frozen pizzas stuff I knew she liked. When my phone rang

"Will Halstead"

"Yes will I called to tell you, Jay didn't show up to dinner, but don't worry he's ok" I let out a sigh of relief

"But, I found one of his team mates, and they said he has been sent home, something happened, but I have no way to get in contact with him anymore"

"Ok, thank you so much for letting me know I really appreciate it"

"Of course, you have a good night"

"You too"

Beeep

Damn it, I don't know whether to get happy or upset, if they sent him home something bad happened, but at least he's alive and coming home I guess

That's when my phone started ringing again, it was Hailey she was probably done and couldn't find me

"Hey, where are you at?"

"Hello?" A voice said that was not hers

"Hailey? Who are you and why do you have her phone?" I asked angrily running down the isles looking for her

"She was in the aisle and a man walked over and grabbed a bottle of soap next to her, and accidentaly bumped her she started freaking out, and she's sitting on the floor curled up into a ball, I tried to see if she was ok, but she panicked and I saw her phone onto he floor, I'm sorry your number was the only one in it so I called you"

"Ok"

I hung up because I found her

As I ran over I knelt down
"Hailey, it's me Will, you're safe no one's gonna hurt you, can you stand up"

She jumped back into reality and was obviously embarrassed of the scene she had caused, even though none of it was her fault.

She quickly wiped her tears away and then panicked when she couldn't find her phone

"Here I've got it" the lady said

"Thank you" I said nodding and smiling at the woman, and walking away with Hailey

We went through self checkout, and as we were walking out a guy walked by and hailey jumped backward and started breathing really heavy

"Hailey, it's alright come on let's get in the car" I told her
