KIARA

After JJ left, Kiara finished both rice cakes and two cups of water before taking a nap. She even finished some of her work she needed to do for school.

Sitting at her desk, she was writing away for her creative writing assignment. There was a knock at the door, which she didn't hear until the third or fourth knock as her AirPods were blasting Good Days, by SZA.

Taking one AirPod out of her ear, she finally realized someone was at the door and walked downstairs.

Forgetting to check the window, a strange man stood on her front porch, fuming.

"Can I help you?" Kiara asked confused.

Something was off about this guy. She felt like she had seen him from somewhere before.

School? No. He was much to old to be in Highschool. He was a little scruffy, and his hair almost covered his ears, along with blood shot eyes. As for his clothes, he had an oversized white shirt on with baggy shorts.

Looking him up and down, she slowly started to remember where she had seen him before.

He was wearing the same outfit from that night.

Before she could say anything, she got a hard blow to her jaw.

Why was he here?

How did he find her?

What does he want from her?

Kiara attempted to fight back.

She kicked and screamed and did everything she could, taking her back to what happened 2 years ago.

"No!" She cried.

She tried to run upstairs to get her phone and call someone, anyone, but he grabbed her leg and pulled her down, making her fall on her face.

Breathing hard, she felt something trickling from her nose and wiped it, seeing dark red blood.

Shit.

She tried to grab anything to hit him, and her hand touched her TV remote. Not practical, but anything to help her.

She hit him, hard, in the head twice before he fell down.

This was bound to give her at least a couple of seconds.

She ran upstairs to her room and slammed the door, locking it as fast as possible.

She grabbed her phone and dialed 911, trying her best to ignore the loud slamming coming from her door.

He was trying to break her door open.

What is this guy on?

The operator answered.

"911 what's your emergency?"

"Hello?" Her voice cracked. "Some- someone broke into my house and he's- he's-"

"Are you hurt?" The operator asked.

Kiara wiped her mouth, seeing blood on the back of her hand. She couldn't say anything. She was in shock.

"What's your name?"

"K-Kiara." She was breathing heavily.

"Okay Kiara, I'm sending the police over right now, can you just stay on the phone with me?"

She was trembling and burst into tears. "Okay." She said, crying.

"Is anyone else in the house with you? A parent, sibling?"
