Fated

24. Day off!

We drove to the ranch. Which is owned by Smith family. As planned we are going for horse riding. Lucas, Summer, Ryan and his girlfriend, Miley were already arrived. Christian parks the car. We enter.

The manager of the club greets us. "Welcome. Mr. Smith." He says. "Mr. Evans, Mr. Brown, Ms. Summer and Ms. Miley. And you are?" He ask looking at me.

"She's with me." Christian says. "She's my wife. Jane." He informs him. I just stare at him. He's has introduced me as his wife. As his companion. I felt that someone is there for me. That I'm not alone in this chaotic world. A sense of partnership.

"Oh." Manager says. "Enjoy yourself." We walk inside. There was greenery everywhere. Trees, plants, bushes. Fresh air. Perfect weather.

"Let's go." Lucas says and walk to the ranch.

Christian picks black horse name thunder, his usual. Lucas and Ryan chooses brown ones named, Bolt and Lightening. Summer and Miley picks white with brown patches, lily and sunny. I look at the horses.

"Choose a horse." Christian says to me, as he pats the horse.

I look and found a white horse, at the corner. "I choose the white one." I tell them.

"The white one?" They look at the white horse at the corner.

"Thay are many other horses? Why pick the one that doesn't allow any one to ride?" Christian taunts me.

"What does that mean?" I ask him.

"Cloud. The white horse. Doesn't like anyone riding on her." Lucas tells me.

"Why?" I question. They became silent. "Tell me the reason."

"It's just cloud...." Lucas wasn't able to speak. He thinks for a moment, before continuing, "It's just she has been always faithful to her previous master." The way he hesitated now. This topic is like a very deep wound.

"Faithful to previous master?" I ask in confusion.

"Cloud was rescued by my cousin. They had a deep connection. Cloud only allowed my cousin to ride her. No one other than my cousin can ride her. After my cousin's death...." Lucas pauses. Lucas's dad, Tim Smith has two siblings, Sophie Brown (Ryan's mother) and Jim Smith.

"Cloud doesn't let anyone ride her." Ryan concludes.

"Select the other horse not her." Christian says and walk out of the ranch with his horse. Others follows them. Leaving me alone.

Christian and others starts to ride.

"You okay?" Summer asks Lucas and Ryan. They silently nod their head. Christian was also restless. He put a neutral facial expression, his heart was upset. The air was sad around them.

"Do you think she can ride horse?" Miley ask trying to change the subject. "She might have never rode horse before. We should help her, right?"

"You are right." Summer says. "I'll go and check her."

The sound of horse running is heard. They turn to look. I was riding a white horse. Cloud. Jane stops right in front of them. They were left speeches. Shock beyond words.

"How did you manage to...?" Lucas asks.

"I just had a chat with her. Right, my girl?" I pats cloud. "Let's go." She says and pats clouds head. Signaling her move.
