Attention was never something she sought after, and now she found herself in the spotlight. She tried to maintain her composure, but her cheeks flushed with a deep shade of crimson. The recruits around her seemed to fade into the background as she locked eyes with him. His gaze held a mixture of admiration and intrigue, causing her heart to skip a beat. It was a moment she never expected, but one she couldn't deny felt undeniably special.
Barq couldn't help but smile and shook his head. Meanwhile, his personal assistant handed him his phone and whispered professionally, "Sir, princess wants you there now." Barq's full attention shifted to his PA's words. He tightly held the mobile phone and answered the call as he walked off the stage.
Seeing him leave, Noya frowned and sat down, puffing out her cheeks. "I saw such a handsome guy and now he's gone can't my dear lord can be merciful on me, even a little bit!" She muttered to herself, pouting.
Meanwhile, her best friend appeared out of nowhere and pinched her arm. Noya hissed and glared at the only person, Nora. Seeing her disheveled state, Nora literally ran towards her like a madwoman, her curly hair flying all over. Nora yelled loudly, once again disturbing and disappointing the authorities. Receiving a glare from their seniors, they both meekly smiled and sat down, whispering not so quietly, "Nora, did you get a shock while coming here?" Noya asked innocently.
Nora narrowed her eyes and said, "Yeah, thanks to your new and cheap hair dryer." Noya stifled her laughter and Nora glared at her. Soon, the boring speech came to an end and they were asked to have refreshments.
While walking out, Noya frowned looking around. Nora noticed she was searching for someone. "Who are you looking for?" Nora asked while stuffing her mouth with delicious Chinese cuisine."A handsome guy, he was amazing. I would have shown you if he was here," Noya said pouting sadly as she couldn't find Barq here.
"He might be handsome, but not more than my guy," Nora said blushing. Noya choked on her juice. "Really? Maybe his luck is about to run out," Noya joked and Nora narrowed her eyes at her.
"Shut up," Nora whispered while rolling her eyes.
While here, Barq drove with such speed that he covered the 45-minute distance in only 10 minutes. Parking his car in the driveway, he quickly rushed into his large villa. His heart beat quickened as he got closer to his daughter's room. He called out twice while climbing the stairs, "Amor? Where are you, my love?" He called, but received no response, which clenched his heart and made him sweat. His daughter was his life.
As soon as he entered her room, he took a deep breath and found her giggling while eating chocolates. "Daddy's scared, yayyyy!" she clapped, tricking her daddy. Little did she know, her father thanked the Lord a million times in a single breath for keeping her safe.
"Amor, you scared me, love," he whispered, bending down to her level. She giggled cutely, showing off her dimples. She covered her mouth with her small, chubby hands, and Barq smiled, hugging her close to his heart.
"What happened, Daddy? Why do you get so scared easily when it comes to me?" she asked, whispering. Her eyes shone differently today.
Barq shook his head and wiped away the smudged chocolate around her mouth. "You are my life, princess. You are my heart." The little girl just bobbed her head and hugged her father, mumbling, "Looks like daddy won't even let me get married." Barq's jaw dropped to the ground, while her nannies chuckled at her cuteness.
"I won't let you get married," Barq spat out possessively. Amayra rolled her eyes, saying, "As if I would oblige you." The nannies chuckled again. Barq sighed in dejection. His daughter was too stubborn. He quickly finished wiping her mouth as she devoured her chocolates. Meanwhile, Barq sat by her side, ensuring her hygiene. He was a bit of a hygiene freak, after all.
Changing into more comfortable clothes, Barq planned to watch a cartoon movie with his little monster, who was already downstairs selecting movies on the screen. "Daddy," she called out to him.
"Yes, princess," he replied, coming downstairs.
"Can we please go on a long drive? I'm tired of these movies and toys and the same old daddy," she said, pouting. This made him narrow his eyes at her. She was too naughty, always teasing him. Who would believe she was his daughter? They way she pulls his leg.
Barq, lost in deep thought, decided to fulfill his daughter's little wish. He grabbed his car keys and nodded in approval, picking her up in his arms and moving towards his porch where his impressive car collection was displayed. His daughter smiled and squealed with excitement at the sight of the cars.
"Daddy, I want all of your collection," she exclaimed. "Everything is yours, princess," he replied, smiling charmingly at her.
As they swiftly drove out of the villa, Amayra couldn't help but squeal at the stars and moon that seemed to be following them. She stood up on her seat, causing Barq to hiss, "Amor, sit down, or else I will turn the car around." She pouted and shook her head, muttering, "Once a monster, always a monster."
"Watch your tongue, young lady," Barq warned, narrowing his eyes at her. She giggled and, pouting her lips, kissed his cheek. He couldn't help but chuckle. "I love you too, Daddy. Bear with me," she said.
As they drove aimlessly, both father and daughter talked about random things, embracing the calm moments.
After some time, Amayra yawned. Barq knew it was time to drive back to his villa. As soon as his car turned, a familiar girl suddenly appeared in front of his car. Without a second thought, Barq smartly protected his daughter from banging into the dashboard and slammed on the brakes. The incident took a maximum of 2 to 3 seconds, and Barq's heart was beating loudly. With a sudden jerk, Amayra flinched and woke up from her sleep. Seeing her daddy tense and panicked, she wobbled her lips, ready to cry. Without wasting a second, Barq took his daughter in his arms.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere, princess?" he asked, raising his eyebrows. Amor shook her head and just hugged her father.
Meanwhile, the girl who crashed her bicycle into his car sat up, hissing and holding her elbow. She had minor scratches on her right elbow and left leg. Gritting her teeth, she glared at the car and stood up, straightening her clothes. Hissing, she knocked on the tinted glass.
"Hey, are you blind? Did your father buy the road?" she said, gritting her teeth. What if she had a serious injury? Barq's eyes widened as he recognized the familiar face. It was the same girl he had met earlier that morning.
He lowered the glass as soon as she saw his face. She gasped horribly and yelled, making him cover his ears. "You! Are you stalking me? Oh my God! Are you stalking me like Zade Meadows?" She yelled with excitement and an 'I can't believe it's you' look.
Barq couldn't help but roll his eyes at her words. Is this girl insane? Amayra snuggled closer to her father's chest.
"Shut up! Or else..." Barq said, gritting his teeth. He was so done with her not-so-good assumptions.
Noya gasped dramatically. "Will you repeat the gun scene with me? Oh my God!" Barq narrowed his eyes at her and stepped out of the car with Amayra in his arms. "Definitely not, but I would like to shoot three or four times, that too into your empty skull!"
Noya displayed a disapproving expression as she scrutinized him with her eyes. He was attired in a tank top paired with grey sweatpants, exuding an attractive and fresh appearance. Subsequently, her gaze shifted towards Amayra. Once again, her less intelligent thoughts entertained an unusual notion, as she questioned, "Have you just abducted this cute individual?" Upon hearing her nonsensical remark, Barq couldn't help but roll his eyes. Amayra blinked in response to the words and pouted, asserting, "Indeed, he has indeed kidnapped me!" Barq had reached his limit with the situation. Noya reacted with a dramatic gasp. The circumstances were far from easy or amusing.
