Gritting her teeth, she glared at his back. "What does he think of himself? I am not his wife! I am not going to do any of his chores!" she murmured under her breath, crossing her arms near her chest. Meanwhile, an old lady with grey hair and dressed in a white floral dress smiled warmly at Noya. Noya smiled warmly in return. "Are you Miss Noya?" asked the old lady softly.

"Yeah, please just refer to me as Noya," Noya said softly, smiling. The old lady smiled cheekily, patting her head lovingly. The old lady asked, "You must be appointed as Amayra's nanny, right?"

Noya nodded, agreeing with a big frown. "Unfortunately, yeah," Noya said, sighing in dejection.

The old lady chuckled, motioning for her to follow. Noya followed behind, saying, "Isn't that broad-shouldered man the worst? He has so much attitude, is bossy, and keeps ordering everyone around as if he is the king of the world!" Noya blabbered, causing the old lady to gasp in horror, as no one had ever had the audacity to speak such words about Barq before.

Barq was always a cold-hearted man with few words. However, deep down, he was truly helpful and kind-hearted. The problem was that he never showed on his face what his heart felt.

Entering a large lobby situated on the ground floor, the old lady turned the knob of a room on the left side, revealing a cozy room that perfectly matched her vibes. "This is your room, Noya. If you need anything, let me know," she said politely. Noya nodded in agreement and looked around the room. She was shocked to see such a beautiful and cozy room offered to the nanny and servants. Doubting Barq's character, she asked, "Does every servant have their own room?" she asked in amusement.

"Yes, the boss makes sure that everyone has their own privacy after their working time is over," the old lady said with sparkling eyes.

This made Noya chuckle with an expression of disbelief. "I never knew that the cold-hearted man cares, actually cares," Noya said, sliding the curtains aside to take a look at the outside world.

"He does care for everyone, but no one cares for him," the old lady said with a hint of sadness and grief. Noya couldn't help but ask, "What is it? What do you mean?" Before the old lady could answer, a girl around Noya's age approached them with a worried expression. "The boss is asking about the new nanny," Noya rushed out, asking where to go, as she was new in his big villa.

While Barq was pacing back and forth in his room, holding a file in his hand, he was completely focused on his work. Suddenly, Noya entered his room like a tornado, causing him to step back to avoid colliding with her and potentially causing her harm. Worriedly, Noya scanned the room and found Amayra sleeping on the bed surrounded by numerous stuffed toys. She let out a sigh of relief. Sensing someone's intense gaze on her, she turned to her left and her breath caught in her throat. His grey eyes were fixed on her and no one else. It felt as though he could see into her soul. Her heart started pounding loudly and she felt exposed under his penetrating gaze.

Feeling awkward, she looked away and cleared her throat. Barq was so captivated by her chocolatey eyes that he couldn't help but stare.

Not able to tolerate his stares, Noya rolled her eyes and tapped on his nose, causing him to groan. The maid and the elderly lady chef gasped in surprise. Barq glared at her for her foolish act.

"Keep your eyes in your pocket, Mr. Barq!" she says, narrowing her eyes. "And keep your hands away, Ms. Noya!" he fired back, making her gasp. "You!" she says, gritting her teeth. Meanwhile, his phone rang, causing their banter to stop in the middle. Barq glared at her and answered the call, while Noya huffed and crossed her arms near her chest.

"Alright," Barq said, ending the call. Turning to Noya, who was still angry, he said, closing his file, "My clients will be here by the evening. I want you to look after Amayra until I finish my meeting. She's been a bit grumpy." He looked at Amayra, who was sleeping peacefully. Noya just gave a small nod. "Anything else?" she asked in a bored tone. "Yeah, also make sure to make something tasty for my clients," he said, taking a seat on the couch and enjoying her expression changing into anger again. He was so enjoying teasing her. "Excuse me? I am working here as a nanny, not a maid or a chef!" she says, gritting her teeth.

Meanwhile, Amayra stirred in her sleep. Noya and the other two ladies gasped, while Barq clenched his fists, hoping she wouldn't wake up now. Otherwise, she would start crying for sure.

Barq quickly caressed Amayra's head lovingly, as if it were a lullaby to her, and she fell asleep again, making Noya and the others sigh in relief. "Leave," Barq whispered to them, causing Noya to glare at him even more. "I am not doing anything," she whispered back. "Oh, you will, girl," he said, smirking, which made her grit her teeth and angrily march downstairs to the kitchen.

The clock struck 6 o'clock in the evening. Barq was all dressed up in his formal attire. As he stepped out of the wardrobe, Amayra was grumpily sitting with a big teddy bear in her arms. His eyes went to her, and he smiled while checking her temperature. "Is my baby feeling better now?" he asked softly, making her shake her head and pout her lips, ready to cry. He scooped her up in his arms and kissed her forehead. Meanwhile, downstairs, Noya was making chicken soup for Amayra. She stirred the soup and gave it the final touches. She also checked on the Arabian dishes she had prepared for the clients, without any more arguments, as she didn't want to be fired. She badly needed money. Sighing at her problems, which made her realize that the world is full of compromises and sacrifices, she turned off the stove and poured the soup into a small pink bowl designed with cartoons, as per Amayra's choice.

As she steps out of the kitchen, the doorbell rang, making her steps halt. She sighed and went to unlock the door. As she stepped towards the doorpost, she got tangled and ended up landing on the floor with the hot soup spilling on the floor. Meanwhile, the other maid gasped and rushed towards her.

Noya stood up, frowning at her clumsy habit. Meanwhile, the other maid unlocked the door for the clients, making Noya embarrassed! She quickly stepped aside while the maids politely asked the clients to follow them to the study. Noya shrugged, pouting at her fate for a grand welcome by her of his clients. Her eyes went to a girl dressed in a short dress with cakey makeup. She was looking unrecognizable. Noya's jaw dropped to the ground. "Nora!" she exclaimed, making Nora's eyes widen.

Meanwhile, Barq came downstairs with Amayra clinging to his chest. He studied the situation and let it go. He knew Noya was too clumsy, but it was not a good idea to say anything when he had guests. He approached her, calling her name. "Miss nanny, take care of my baby. I will be in the study." Noya turned around to nod at Barq's words. His eyes were fixed on her face, which showed numerous questions, guilt, and shame. He softly passed Amayra to her, and their hands brushed each other, making them share a small eye contact.

Noya quickly took Amayra in her arms and walked away, while Amayra waved goodbye to her daddy. He waved back and gave a flying kiss to his daughter.

As Noya entered Amayra's playroom, she nestled Amayra in her lap, lost in deep thoughts. Why was Nora here? And why the sudden change in her appearance? She never wore such small dresses. Questions ran through her mind. Feeling a soft pat on her cheek, she looked down at Amayra, who gave a small smile. "I am sick, you know," she said in her small voice.

"Aww, the doctor gave you medicine, right? You will be fine, dear. Do you want to play?" Noya asked, cupping her cheeks. Amayra shook her head. Leaning on Noya's chest, she whispered, "Hug me," making Noya protectively wrap her arms around her small frame. "Like father, like daughter, always ordering me," Noya thought, smiling. "Alright, now that we are together, shall I share a story of a rose and its beast to cheer you up?" Noya asked. Amayra nodded in agreement.

Meanwhile, Barq was engaged in official talks with his clients. His eyes went to the one and only lady present there, Nora. He couldn't figure out who she was exactly, as he didn't remember her much.
