The very next morning, Noya woke up earlier. She remembered that she had to pack her luggage. Sighing and yawning, she got ready for the day. As she packed her stuff, her stomach growled due to hunger, making her pout. She tied up her messy hair in a bun and quietly strolled down the stairs, as the whole mansion was so silent and quiet. She shrugged, thinking that Amayra and Barq must be sleeping. But to her surprise, she found Barq already dressed in his Armani suit.

Seeing him all ready, with gelled-up hair, sleeves folded till his elbow, was giving him a rich CEO vibe. Her cheeks turned rosier at the thought that he resembled Korean drama CEOs! Blushing at her own cooked delusions, Noya enters the kitchen. While Barq couldn't be more amazed by this girl's behavior. Sometimes she acts cute and weird at the same time.

As he stirs his coffee, he clears his throat and moves back, giving her space to make her move. Noya steps forward and his rich cologne hits her nostrils, making her mind go into la-la land. Some people smell too good and yummy, and Barq was one of them and she struggled to keep them open. The scent of his cologne was overpowering, causing her to feel lightheaded. Her eyelids grew increasingly heavy, making it difficult for her to stay awake.

Barq, who was sipping his coffee, had his eyes focused on her. She was acting like a drugged human.

She stumbled backwards, he was fast enough to hold her hand, keeping his coffee mug on the kitchen counter. He made her sit in the chair. She held her head in between her hands. Before he could ask anything, her stomach growled, making him realize that she didn't have dinner last night. He raised one eyebrow, asking her, "Did you skip your dinner last night?" He asked with a straight face.

She nodded yes, looking back at him. "That's not important, boss, but you smell delicious!" She said with her sparkling eyes. He narrowed his eyes at her words. "What am I? A chicken biryani to you?" He asked annoyingly.

She blinked her eyes at his words and laughed, making him flinch. Her laughter echoed through his house, his kitchen, and somewhere in his heart, making it feel soothing. His heart skipped beats, and his ears turned pink. Lowering his eyes, shaking away his thoughts, he walked towards the refrigerator to get some bread and eggs. She giggled and stood up, "That sounds great, shall I save your number with the same name?" she said, teasing him, receiving a glare from him.

Ignoring her excitement for saving his number with a unique name, he proceeded further to make something edible for her. As it was early morning, the chef had not arrived, as he himself had restricted them not to.

As he flips the omelette, her eyes sparkle at his skillful skills. "Woah! That's amazing, you must have a PhD in cooking!" she says with excitement, clapping her hands with complete enthusiasm. Barq stares at her, confused. Was this the same girl who was weak a few minutes ago?

"You are always this idiotic or is something special today?" he questions, making her halt in her excitement. Her face turns sad upon hearing his words. Her heart beats faster. His words are enough to make it clear what he thinks of her. Feeling a bit hurt by his words, she composes herself and awkwardly walks out, announcing, "Let me check on Amayra." Barq couldn't be more amused by her sudden reaction. Within 2 seconds, the whole atmosphere turns upside down. He puffs out his cheeks, licks his lips, and runs his hand through his hair. Why did he even say that?

Feeling a pinch of disappointment, he thinks, 'She should back answer me! Of course, why would she just listen?'

He sighs and places the breakfast on a plate, marching upstairs.

Meanwhile, Noya not only feels disappointed but also realizes that she was never an important factor to anyone. Sighing and shrugging, she waits for Amayra to come out of the washroom. As Amayra steps out, she passes a big smile to Noya, who smiles back softly.

"Good morning, Amayra," she says softly. "Good morning, Miss Annie... where is daddy?" she says, pouting. Before Noya can answer, Barq enters the room with her breakfast. "Here, love, have your breakfast, then we'll leave," he says, placing the plate on the side table.

Noya shifts to a corner. Seeing that she doesn't have any important role to play, she quietly takes her leave, to which Barq stares at her back.

Noya sped up to the kitchen as her stomach growled due to hunger. She badly needed something to eat. Finding bread and eggs, she quickly made French toast for herself and tea. Her heart felt disappointment as she thought he was making breakfast for her. Facepalming her forehead, she mumbled, "Why would that monster make breakfast for me? I am not his queen but a nanny here! Uff, my delulu," she said, whining and pouting as she made her breakfast.

Gobbling down her breakfast, she scrolls through some social media apps. As she takes the last bite, her eyes widen when she reads the news of the Umayyad accident flashing all across social media. Her hands start shaking, and so does her body.

Meanwhile, Barq with his luggage and Amayra by his side comes downstairs. Noya gulped nervously and rushed behind him. "Mr. Barq, your friend met with an accident!" she says with fear and tense senses.

Barq stopped in his tracks, his jaw clenched. He sighed and turned to Amayra, who looked fearful. "Amor, go to daddy's car and take your seat," he said, causing her to nod. His voice was stern and dominating, leaving Amayra unable to question him and only able to nod in agreement. She ran out.

Barq turned to Noya with his jaw still clenched. "It's none of your business. You are not paid to give me news, Miss Noya," he said, looking at her with stern and dominating eyes. "But boss, how could you leave your friend in this situation? He needs you! Don't you have a heart?" she said, making him even angrier, unaware of the truth. This triggered his anger.

People already knew him as heartless, and she was doing the same. He took steps closer to her, causing her to step back. He tightly gripped her arms. "I am not obligated to answer any of your childish questions!" he said through gritted teeth.

She flinched at his tone and his nails digging into her soft skin. "I highly doubt it. Are you running from the cops?" she said, using her brain to the fullest. This was enough to get on his nerves. "You have no brain, Miss Noya! Talk sense at least. And if you fear so much that you are working for a murderer, you are free to go!" he said, causing her eyes to widen.

Taking his coat, he left, leaving her staring at his back.
