i want to buy a book

if this poem gets to you
i just want to share that
i want to buy a book,
especially the hardback ones
with maps and all that stuff

we went out earlier and saw one at the store
and i can't get it out my mind from then on
i know it's strange and random
to write a poem
on how i want to buy a book

i said to myself that i'll come back for it;
i swore like a god in the River of Styx;
'by hook or by crook'.
but i knew that things ain't cheap
inflation caused too much in just a bit

they said that there's EPub and PDF
but they're not the one's
who will be responsible for my glasses.
i want the scent of actual pages
not radiation and 'clean up storage for spaces'

it's still strange and random
but there's nothing wrong with
supporting the people you want to become
it's never strange and random
that someday i'll buy a book, and get mine done
