Tanjiro's pov

"Say y/n," I started and she hummed in response, "I wanted to ask you if you know why Nezuko isn't waking up and how to turn a demon back to human."

She replied, "To your first question I have a guess, since you told me that she didn't devour any human flesh nor anything, she's regaining her strength by sleeping. Sleep reduces hunger.
As for your second question, I dunno, but I only know how to turn a human into a demon. Only the demon lord with his blood is able to turn a human into a demon."

"Is this why you slept a lot oneesan?" Ryu joined the conversation.

"Eh?" you tilted your head with a straight face, "I don't remember Ryu. Did neesan sleep a lot?"

"Well, before you grew wings and antlers." he answered.

"Nope, don't remember." she replied, "now sleep, why are you even awake now? I thought you already fell asleep."

"I can't fall asleep!" he argued back.

"You need to get up early Ryu or you won't be able to get up in the morning." I spoke.

"And why aren't you sleeping?" Ryu asked.

"Because he's grown and not a child like you," y/n said while tucking him in, ensuring only his head remained uncovered, "if you want to grow tall like Tanjiro then sleep because your body only grows when you're asleep."

"Is that true?" he asked in disbelief.

"Your neesan is right, only children who sleep early grow taller." I ensured him.

"Okay I'm sleeping now!" he said while shutting his eyes and after three minutes we heard his soft snorings.

"Do you have any more questions, Ryu's saviour?" I was somewhat overwhelmed with the last part.

"S-saviour? Please don't call me that, like I said, I only did what everyone else would have!"

"Yes, yes if there's no more questions, then sleep too." she suggested, "you need to get up early too."

"Don't you sleep y/n?" now that I think about it, I never saw her sleep.

"I don't have too," she answered, "I force myself to eat some animals instead of humans so I can look out for Ryu."

"But you don't have to now, right?" she looked puzzled so I elaborated, "I understand that you also stay alerted at night since you were worried about Ryu's safety but now we're here at Urokodaki's. It's safe here, no demons are nearby. He's also a great slayer after all."

"Right..." seemed like she just realised it, "Then I'll sleep first." she lied down at the floor between Nezuko's and Ryu's futon.

"At least let me get a futon for you." I said but I only received soft snorings from her. Looks like she was very tired.

I blew off the candle and went to grab another blanket. I carefully covered her with it and went to sleep too.
"Good night everyone."

No ones pov

Their training continued and after two years, Tanjiro was able to cut the giant rock in half. Tonight, everyone sat around the cooking pot with only Tanjiro and Ryu eating. Urokodaki informed him about the demon blood arts and that he can tell how many people a demon devoured with his smell. "There are also morphed ones," he continued, "be careful around them because that means that they ate more than you could count."

Later, Tanjiro asked the winged demon if she could cut his hair and she agreed.

"Your hair is surprisingly fluffy." she commented while cutting his hair, "and there, I'm finished."
