When the ship started to slow, Daisy braced for the landing. However, thankfully, the landing was nice and easy. The ship rocked side to side and the lights flickered as if the ship was using the last of its power before settling into the ground and the lights inside fully going dark. For a moment Daisy debated if the ship just powered off or completely lost power, landing far off its intended course. But then the door above creaked open, a split of light peaking from above.

Carefully, Daisy pried open the ship doors and stood up. Blistering icy air greeted Daisy as she stood and beheld the surrounding area she landed in...

Eastern Antarctic Plateau

Climbing out, Daisy saw nothing but snow for miles. The snow crunched under her feet as she hopped off the ship and touched the ground. The sun was shining brightly, and it felt great against her skin. Daisy could feel its warmth enwrap her very being.

For a moment, she just basked in its heat.

Then the ground under her shook slightly and the ice around the ship started to descend, creating a perfect circle shaped hole. Daisy had to stand close to the ship to not get left behind. She put one hand on the exterior of the alien ship and watched with vested interest as she descended below the ice.

The walls turned from ice to metal like she had just gone through an elevator shaft before reaching the bottom floor where Daisy was lowered into an enormous underground chamber. The walls and ceiling were concave as if she was in one big ship...

She walked a few steps forward before something unlatched from a nearby wall. It was like the drone she had found in Nevada. But this one was much cleaner looking. Less damaged. She walked closer to it but stopped when multiple tentacles protruded out from it, the ends vibrating with electric charge.

"Whoa. I come in peace," Daisy said holding up her hand. She walked backwards as the drone floated closer and closer. When her back touched the escape ship, and her eyes started to glow red with not much other option left to her... the key ejected out from the ship next to Skye's head.

She plucked it and the drone responded, retracting its mechanical limbs, a key shaped hole appearing on the lower section of its body. Skye sighed with little relief and inserted the key into the drone.

The drone then shook slightly, before its grid panel face shifted like it was loading in the information. Then it promptly turned and started to float down a hall the chamber opened out into.

"Alright..." said Daisy a little trepidatious, jogging to catch up with it.

She followed the drone down the hallway before it reached a smaller room. A control room with computer terminals and screens, mostly covered in dust except for one lone keyboard in the middle. The drone floated right up to the center console, one tentacle arm extending out and taking the key before inserting into the console. The drone then floated away to the side and Daisy watched the keyboard light up with a blue glow.

The screens all turned on, displaying information in a language she didn't understand. She at least recognized the telemetry data being shown. Something that looked like longitude and latitude... if she had to wager a guess.

"This place's got to be at least a thousand years old..." Daisy whispered in awe.

"Nearly 20,000 years, in fact."

Daisy whirled around in surprise, seeing a man stand before her, dressed in white robes, an "S" symbol on his chest. He was tall and broad shouldered. Dark black hair and kind blue eyes. He had some scruff befitting his age and wore a small smile as he looked at the startled Daisy.
