Fuyumi Todoroki Works At McDonald's

The New Hires Pt. 2

The new trio took to being friends rather quickly. They were all around the same age and are brand new to the job. Seth has about one week of experience but is still feeling rather fresh compared.

Jack, being the youngest, made the other two older males have a silent agreement to keep an eye on him.

"So what made you guys wanna work here?" Seth asked. He himself explained that he just wanted a job and made money.

"Basically the same for me. I'm 20, so I had to find a new job after quitting my last one if I wanna move out eventually." Ant lived with his parents and while they love to have him at home, at some point the boy turns into a man and wants to delve into the world on their own and eventually get their own place. That's his current goal, and with McDonald's recently raising their wages, its the perfect place to work.

"What about you, Jack?" Seth asked.

"Uh, it's the same as well. I want to make some extra cash while I'm abroad. I go back at the end of the semester in March. Considering we're in August, I got like 7 months left here." Jack wants to work for money to be able to buy things here on his semester abroad. Pretty standard.

"Basically, we're all just for me money then." Seth concluded.

"Pretty much." Jack agreed, with Ant nodding next to him.

"Alright, well, I gotta go back, my breaks over." Seth said.

"We still got five minutes left. See you in a bit, bro." Jack waved goodbye while Ant gave him a silent two finger salute.

"See ya, guys."

The two silently continued to eat their meals as their break slowly came closer to an end. With eventually those five minutes passing by quickly, it was time to go back.

Clocking back in, it was Fuyumi's turn to go on break.

"Fuyumi, I'm back. You can go on break." Ant spoke as he approached her. She was currently cleaning the grill with a wet rag.

"Ok, I cleaned it, so make sure the meat doesn't stick to the grill or it gets super dirty again.

"Ok."

Fuyumi clocked out on her half and went on break. Today, she brought lunch from home. She likes the free McDonald's food as much as the next person, but damn is it unhealthy every damn day.

As she found a seat in the lobby, she spotted a familiar face sitting across the room from her table.

It was Satoshi, Harumi's youngest son she frequently babysat.

She approached him, slightly worried since he was alone.

"Hey Satoshi! Are you here alone?" She asked.

The little boy put his drink down and shaked hus head. "My big brother is here. He said he had to take a piss!" The boy exclaimed, unaware of Fuyumi's disapproving stare at his crude use of the foul language.

"How irresponsible of him! Leaving a child alone." She pouted, angry at the irresponsible older brother of Satoshi. She doesn't know him yet she can just tell what kind of person he is.

"I didn't leave him alone, I was gone for less than a minute. Chill out. Satoshi, was I gone for long?" Standing behind her was Hayato, who had his arms crossed and staring at her, eyebrows raised.

"I may have given the wrong first impression,  but I'm not a bad brother. Besides, he's old enough. Satoshi's a big boy, ain't that right, lil bro?" He grinned and sat next to his brother.

"Yea, I'm old and responsible now!" He cheered as he took a bite of his chicken nugget, some barbecue sauce staining his chin.

"You see? He's big now." Hayato said as he wiped the sauce off with a napkin. "Now you gonna join us, or are you gonna go elsewhere?"
