Finding Out What Was Left

[ Andrew's POV ]

It's been a couple weeks since Ron and Sadies wedding and its been going pretty good. I still haven't went into Rhodes and since Ron is still on his honeymoon me Arthur and John have been hanging around eachother. Me and Mary Beth have been going good, but if im being honest i want more. And i want that with Mary Beth, but it isn't the right time for me nit until we get enough money to disappear.

I stopped writing in my journel and put it back in my satchel and left my tent. When i did i saw Mary Beth and Tilly talking about what happens on the moon. I just smile at them as i look down and shake my head.

I see John arguing with Abigail about being a better father and we is livid about it, he doesn't like it when she does that. But to me when we were together that was the most admiring and sexiest thing about her. But that was then.

I start to walk over to Alpha and i can tell she is missing her other half. I lead her over to one of the big trees where the other horses and take her saddle off and start to brush her down as i talk to my faithful mare.

Andrew: I know girl, you miss Lightning. But don't worry they will be back soon.

Alpha neighs with a the sound of contentness in her voice. I continue to brush her down as Mary Beth walks over to me and strokes Alphas mane which she lets out a satisfied neigh and began to speak.

Mary Beth: I know it's a touchy subject, but don't you think you should at least go into Rhodes. You know Dutch will ask you to soon enough.

i thought about her words as i fed Alpha her favorite food an apple then looked back at her then said.

Andrew: ........ Would you come with me. I'd feel alot better if you would.

She looked up to me then walked up to me then she put her arms around my neck and kissed me. After she did that we parted and said with a smile.

Mary Beth: I'll go get Leonardo and we can be on our way.

she walked off to get her horse as i put my Panther pelt and trail saddle back on Alpha. After i did that and led her to the edge of camp to wait for Mary Beth. After a couple of moments she led Leonardo over to me and i helped her up on him then mounted up on Alpha then rode out of camp to face the music of my past.

We got to the outskirts i stopped Alpha and started to panic, Mary Beth could see i was and rode up to me then put her hand on mine and made me look her as she spoke.

Mary Beth: It's going to be ok. Im here with you.

I smiled at her cause i know she will always be there for me and ill always be there for her. It's just one of the many things i love about her.

We began to ride on into town and as soon as we rode into town people started to stare at us. It unnerved  me for a minute until Mary Beth held my hand as we rode to the center of town.

We dismounted and hitched Leonardo and Alpha to the hitching post next to the general store. I told Mary Beth that im going to see if i had any mail and she said she would go and get some supplies from the general store. I began to walk down to the train station and i could see people staring at me but i try my best to ignore them.

I go into the station and as soon as i do i hear some one calling my name. I turn toward the clerk and it's non other than Alden my favorite concerned man. I walked up to the window and we talk.

Alden: It's good to see you again Andrew. It's been to long, what have you and Ron been up to since i saw you last. I saw Ron a couple weeks back. He came in and got the mail.

Andrew: Yeah i good. So do i have any mail from Montana?

Alden begins to look in the mail bag to see if i had any mail, and after a couple of minutes he brings out a letter and hands it to me. I shake his hand and left the station. I went over to the general store and sat on the steps and opened the letter and read it.

Everything in Montana is going good and their oldest daughter is getting married to her childhood sweetheart. Its hard to believe little Belle is 18 now and getting married it's a sign that im getting old and i am glad that she is getting married to a good man. I met him a handful of times and i could tell he would grow up to be a good man.

I was brought out of my thoughts by the general store door opening and Mary Beth sitting next to me with a bag of something in her lap as she spoke.

Mary Beth: How are things in Montana?

She asked me as she pit her chin on my shoulder and looked at me with those beautiful brown eyes of hers then i smiled and said.

Andrew: It's going great. Belle is getting married.

Mary Beth: That's good. She deserves to be happy.

Before i could speak a elegant looking man came up to us. He wore a powder blue suit and glasses, his hair oiled back and piercing green eyes. I looked up at him as he stared at me and i said.

Andrew: May i help you?

When i spoke his eyes got wide and had a smile on his face as he came up closer to us as he spoke.

???: I'm sorry but are you Andrew Scott?

Andrew: And who might be asking.

i didn't want to answer right away cause you ask any successful outlaw and they would tell you to never give your name out until your sure its for a good thing. The man put up his hands and said.

Mr. Stonewall: I'm sorry for being so blunt. My name is Aiden Stonewall and i own the bank here in Rhodes.... I knew your parents.

Andrew: If you knew them what were their names?

Mr. Stonewall: Your father was Lance Scott and your mother was Annabeth Scott. I knew them all my life.

i relaxed a little as i stood up to meet his eyes and shook his hand as he stared at me then said.

Mr. Stonewall: You look so much like your father. But you have your mothers  blue eyes..... Sorry but if it's ok come back to the bank with me.

He started to walk away and i looked at Mary Beth and shrugged as we followed Mr. Stonewall to the bank. When we got to the entrance i stopped him and asked.

Andrew: Why did you ask me to follow you to the bank?

He turned to me and smiled at me then went to open the door as he spoke.

Mr. Stonewall: Your parents left you all they had in the world. I just need your mark on the papers and its all officially yours.

Andrew: What all did they leave me?

Mr. Stonewall smiled at me as he opened the door to the bank  and turned to go into the bank as he said.

Mr. Stonewall: Everything my boy. Everything.
