Tony really couldn't be blamed for not being able to keep his hands to himself. After they'd finally burned the bridge between them and the floodgates had been held wide open—there was no keeping his affections at bay. By the large grin on Bucky's face as he leaned over to kiss his neck, however, he could tell the feeling was mutual.

It was hard to believe that this was his reality when all he'd ever done was want and dream. As the wind blew in Tony's hair and he looked up from his hoodless car out into the dark sky, he had a moment of divine clarity. Everything finally clicked into place after so many miserable years alternating between being incredibly lonely or in soul sucking relationships. This was it, what he'd needed all his life. Tony swore to never let go.

Bucky looked over with a confused but bright smile as Tony let out an incredulous laugh. "You alright over there, Sugar?" He teased. Tony threw himself across the console and draped himself over Bucky's shoulder. "I'm okay." Tony giggled again—almost manically. Nothing felt quite real, it was all a spur of hasty decisions and feelings. He wouldn't have it any other way.

"M'just happy." He sighed contentedly, staring at the road ahead. Bucky paused and fixed his eyes on Tony for a dangerously long moment. He only looked back up when the car swerved slightly. "Tony." Bucky gripped the steering wheel as his voice came out all strangled. Tony Stark, the man who had everything, had never said those words so easily before. Bucky felt a strange, aching protectiveness coil in his chest. He wanted Tony to say it every day, to mean it every time.
Tony looked up at that, also taken aback by his own words. They were very uncharacteristic of him, but he'd really meant them.

"I am." Tony reaffirmed, hands once again finding their way onto Bucky's face who spared another glance at him. "Good." Bucky tilted his head to press a quick kiss onto Tony's hand. "That's all I want."

.

The sound of Tony's giggles bounced off of the empty walls of his Miami home as he and Bucky stumbled through the doorway late at night. He swayed on his feet, drunk on feelings alone and being held steady by an amused Bucky. "Hold still, Sugar. I'm trying to find the light switch." Bucky squinted as he looked around the dark room. "Fri, turn the lights on a dim setting, will you?" Tony asked, and much to Bucky's surprise— the lights came on.

"I thought F.R.I.D.A.Y was back at the tower?" Bucky asked with furrowed eyebrows. Tony laughed loudly at that, cupping Bucky's face and looking at him fondly. "You're adorable, sweetheart." Bucky rolled his eyes in mock offense, but his matching smile betrayed him.

Bucky took in Tony's tired eyes and asked: "Where's your bedroom? It would take me forever to find out on my own." Bucky said as he looked around the vast space. Tony's face changed instantly at those words, and Bucky couldn't place why.
"Not to worry." Tony gripped onto Bucky's arms. "I'll help." He whispered, surging forward and pressing their lips together chastely.

Bucky let out a surprised hum, but closed his eyes and lost himself in the kiss. Bucky tried to appreciate the closeness but he couldn't ignore the hands tugging on his shirt and pulled away with much restraint. "Tony, baby—" He said breathlessly as Tony moved to press kisses down his neck. He gets lost in the feeling before he feels Tony's hands attempt to remove his shirt again. "Tony." He calls again, firmly this time.
Tony stops what he's doing and stares at him, breathing hard. Bucky takes Tony's hands into his own, squeezing them tight. "Love you, Sugar." He says. "But we should go to sleep." Tony's eyes widened in surprise.

"Oh— I thought you wanted..." Tony trails off, cheeks flushed. "What I wanted was to cuddle my fella." Bucky says, looking into Tony's relieved eyes.

Bucky takes in Tony's demeanor and frowns.  "You didn't want to." He says, it isn't a question— it's an observation. "But you were still going to." Bucky presses his lips together in anger as he pictures Tony having to do something he didn't want to please another.
