Alright everyone—here's the deal. 

Recently, I have been made aware that there is someone out there (or multiple people—I'm really not sure) who has been stealing this book, putting it on other apps, and selling it for profit. So far, I have found it on five different apps. Every chapter I write shows up on these apps a few hours after posting it. 

I don't know what to do. I have no idea how they are copying my book or how to make them stop. I also don't know if it's Wattpad or Inkitt (I write for both) that they are stealing it from. 

I have contacted both Wattpad and Inkitt about this problem and am waiting to hear back, but I'm a little afraid I'm going to have to take this book down. I've heard about authors getting their stories stolen from platforms like Wattpad/Inkitt and finding them on Amazon. And once that happens, it becomes extremely difficult to prove you are the author of your own work. I'm genuinely freaked out that something like this might happen to TAD if I continue to update it—especially since it has already been stolen several times. 

The weirdest part of all of this is that all of the apps I have found TAD on are exactly the same. They have different names, logos, and come from different developers but look exactly the same when you open them up.

Again, all of the screenshots above are from five DIFFERENT apps. Are we noticing a trend? 

Now, I don't know much about making apps or if there are templates that developers can use, but this makes me think it might be the same company/app developer who made all of these apps (even though it says on the app store that they are from different app developers)? So maybe it's the same person posting on all of these apps? Or maybe they're posting on one app and it's showing up on all of them? I honestly have no clue. Everything is confusing me. It also makes me think there could be a million other versions of this app out there and this could be a never-ending issue for me. 

The other problem is it takes a literal army to get my book taken off of these apps. The only way I have been able to get them to listen to me is by asking all of you to go report my book and flooding their inboxes. With all of your guys' help, I have gotten my book taken off two of these apps (Popfic and Funtel) but there are more. It's truly becoming a constant source of anxiety for me. 

I owe you all a huge thanks, by the way. I appreciate you all so much for being willing to help me take back my book. These stupid apps were refusing to listen to me until I got you guys involved. If you want to keep helping me, you can report TAD on LemonRead, CrazyNovel, and Funstory, and continue to report it on any other app you find it on. As of right now, TAD should only be available on Wattpad and Inkitt. 

I know it seems a little ridiculous, but I am genuinely sad about all of this. I love writing on Wattpad and Inkitt. I love the community we have built and getting to interact with all of you. It would break my heart to stop writing on these platforms. But I just can't have people stealing my work (which I have now spent over a year of my life writing) and claiming it as their own. 

Until I hear back from Wattpad and Inkitt, I am considering my other options. Maybe if I put TAD behind a pay wall, it would prevent people from stealing it. Would you all be willing to follow me to another app/platform where you might have to pay? Galatea, Patreon, or Inkitt subscription, maybe? I have so many updates waiting to go out; I just feel like I need to get this all figured first. I hope you all understand. 

If anyone has any advice, please let me know.
