I woke up at the same time as my mother and started to prepare our laundry to wash. Rick was up and about wearing a white t. Oh god he reminds me of Anthony but a little thinner. I've always been a sucker for white boys in white t's.
"Need a bucket for your saliva?" I look to my left seeing amy menacingly grinning at me. How long was I staring for? "Say anything and I'll choke you." I playfully threaten her then meet eyes with Rick. He smiles at me and I smile back before dropping it as he approached his wife.
Remember krystal. He's married. "Washing today?" Andrea asked and I nod. I began to make my way over to the river when blood curdling scream from a child made me throw the bucket before sprinting to the source. I bump into my mother who was coming from the woods with Carl and Sophia.
"Y'all alright?" I asked searching her for anyone wounds or some sort. She nods and runs back to the camp while I went to see what scared the poor kids off. From a small distance I hear the men grunting while hitting something.
It was a male walker laying next to a dead deer. I nearly threw up but controlled myself cause I literally camouflage with the dead in rotting guts yesterday. It's been a while since we saw or killed one so right now they're just beating this lone walker until he stays still.
I thought it would never end until dale chopped it's head off. Suddenly we hear a branch snap and I back up since I don't have a weapon and even if I did they won't want me to use it
I was expecting another walker but instead it was Daryl. "Oh shit." I say out loud earning a look of concern from Rick. "That was my deer and this lifeless piece of shit had to race me to it." He squats down examining the bite. He isn't thinking of cutting around it is he?
"How about we cut around it?" I made a stink face before pulling Rick to the side. "That's Daryl." I whisper and he sighs heavily. "You'll be there to back me up right?"
"Hell yeah, cause I don't want him to beat your ass in front of everybody." I mutter before running back to camp. I stood in a corner waiting for Daryl and Rick along with the others to come but Daryl got here before them asking for his brother.
Shane crept up slow seeing me standing with a bouncer stands which I really am since I'm backing up my dumbass called Rick.
The reason I'm even helping him because I don't want Daryl to beat his ass to a pulp like Merle did to Theodore. "Where's Merle?" I open my mouth to say something but was cut off by Rick blocking my view.
"Do you want my help or not?" I whisper yell and he side eyes me. "Whatevs." I scoff crossing my arms.
"Daryl, just slow up a bit. I need to talk to you." Shane said and Daryl spins around looking at him with attitude.
"About what?"
"About Merle." My eyes dart from Daryl to Shane as they played guess what with one another. Rick steps forward. "No easy way to say this," I step with him as well. "so I'll just say it." Daryl sizes us up with his blue squinted eyes. "Who are you?"
"Rick Grimes." I love the way he says his own name. Like a heroic guy in the DC comic.
"Rick Grimes, you got something
you want to tell me?" Daryl asked."Your brother was a danger to us all, so I handcuffed him on a roof, hooked him to a piece of metal. He's still there."
I pat his back for having the balls that most of the men here didn't have. "Hold on. Let me process this. You're saying you handcuffed my brother to a roof and you left him there?!" I flinched at his sudden volume then there was odd silence.
The only thing you could hear is Daryl's heavily breathing, wait why does he look a animal foaming at the mouth?
No one gave me a heads up when Daryl all of a sudden threw the damn pack of dead squirrels he hunted, on me and tried to attack Rick but was stopped by Shane.
