Who wants to live forever?

After being in completely shock and blindness about something being in there and my eyes burning I grab my mother's hand pulling her closer to entrance when Rick walked in first. We followed with our backpacks on looking around at this enormous space. It had a mixture between hospital and mall white interior all around.

Rick whispered for everyone to stay near with his fake friend Shane stood by his side. I chuckle as I let go off my mother's hand. "what are you doing?" She asked with worry. "I'm looking for a button to Lock this bitch up." Just then there was a gun cocking that stopped me in my tracks and Rick putting his gun on ready to fire.

"Anyone infected?!" Asked a man's voice. There was a 3 second silence which I thought was a bad idea to do because that would make us seem infected.

"One of our group was but they didn't make it." I inhale a stuttering breath at the mentioning of Jim. My mother noticed and rubbed my back with comfort.

"What do you want and why are you here?!" My eyes darted towards Rick. "A chance."

"That's asked a lot these days." Is this man gonna let us in or what? My black ass is getting impatient and hungry and stinky. Passing those rotting stench of decaying corpses must've rubbed off on me. "I know." Rick chuckles and I rolled my eyes.

"You all will get a blood test." The shouting mystery man states as he emerges from the dark with a big fire arm. You know it's weird that the walkers aren't on us anymore. I'm not complaining but it's not normal and it makes me feel eerie like those things weren't even dead.

I was thinking too much to begin with. About my dad, my passion of art that I had left behind, my boyfriend, my deceased best friend and my mother. Her petite hands squeezed mine snapping me back to reality along with minor shouting.

"We're safe now baby." She kissed my cheeks. "Krystal come on." Rick said rushing towards a big elevator door. We go along with them entering this spacious elevator. Finally, one where I can breath but too bad the world had to end so I could experience this.

"Do you scientists always carry around heat like that?" Daryl asked. I just remembered this guy had a long ass gun in his arms like a toddler. I don't know his name. "What's his name?" I whisper as the man talked to everyone else. "Dr. Jenner." I nod looking at him.

After some seconds we were on the floor cause I felt it moving downwards. "Are we underground?" Carol asked and I was a bit annoying because I thought it was a stupid question until the doctor asked if she was claustrophobic and that's when I noticed she was breathing heavily.

"A little bit." More like a lot. She must've been through hell with Ed to the point where she became scared of small places. "God," my mother looked at me as I began talking. "Thank you for taking Ed out of Carol and Sophia's life."

I sigh. "Amen." I burst out laughing at my mom earning a look from the others but that didn't stop me I continued and louder. Eventually I stopped when I enter this dark room. "Karen, activate power in zone 5."

"Who's Karen?" The room lit up revealing it to be full of computers.

I looked around at all the technology with my broke ass and caught Andrea, dale, Shane, Lori and Rick with a disappointed look. I didn't understand why until lori asked Jenner where's everyone and read my mind on who this Karen lady is. The doctor froze like a Medusa victim before turning to face her.

"Karen say hello and welcome our guests." I waited to see if some white lady would come out but there wasn't any sign of her just a female saying hello and greeting us. My mother jumped cause she ain't used to this and neither am i. "It's automatic voice program. Sorry I'm all that's left."
