Just a heads up this will be a five part story. Then later we're gonna have even more series, following this series about other main characters. These series are called the Beautiful Metals Series. Another heads up I'm a Christian, I do not cuss so...
Silas was busy cooking breakfast. I could hear the bacon, my favorite, sizzling on the stove and the toaster popping. Then I heard the fridge open and Silas sliding something out. The drawer opened and I heard some clanking, maybe silverware. Yup, it was silverware because I then heard the scraping of a knife on the toast. Oh, I hope he's making avocado of sourdough toast, I love that stuff!
Silas is such a sweetheart. Being the middle child right in between Kenton and I, Silas keeps us in line. He also loves to cook which is amazing for me because then I don't have to do it. Kenton on the other hand has always been distant and super over protective. He likes his motorbike, no team sports. But both of my brothers are supportive and protective, Kenton just has always been a little bit more. Maybe even too much at times.
My mom and dad are amazing parents, I love them so much. Right now they're on a trip because of my dad's work. They don't normally go on business trips but occasionally they have to. My dad treats my mom like a queen and I can't wait to find someone who will treat me like a queen.
It's getting closer to Christmas and most people can't go on business trips around the holidays. So because of this my dad is getting a higher pay and promotion that will really help with three kids going to college so soon. My mom and bad would've found some way to handle it anyway. Kenton and Silas have both been earning some money with their jobs. Kenton works in the motor shop as a part time job. Later in his free time he helps people fix their vehicles, mowers, motorcycles, and likewise for pay. Silas actually found a job working as a cook. The restaurant that hired him loved his cooking so much that they over looked their previous rules that normally have their cooks start as waiters and work their way up. I on the other hand don't have an official job set in place but I do babysit as much as I can.
Any minute now Silas will yell up at me that breakfast is ready and when I don't answer Kenton will come up to my room and walk me back downstairs. Or maybe I could just pop into the kitchen and eat now. Yeah, I'll save Kenton the trouble and go downstairs.
I walk downstairs, I'm already feeling better than yesterday so, I dressed up a little bit. It's a pretty cute outfit with light washed jeans that have holes in the knees and are cuffed at the bottom. My simple white sweater looks super cute with my white tennis shoes.

I make it to the kitchen and Silas starts talking thinking I'm Kenton before turning around and seeing, he gives me a huge smile then goes back to cooking.
Silas finishes cooking and I get a plate of bacon and avocado toast. Kenton comes in to the kitchen a little bit later. Looking down at his phone Kenton asks, "Do you need me to go get Essie again?" Kenton looks up and sees me finishing off my bacon he then stares at me surprised. Silas gives him a silly smile.
I finish my toast and head up stairs to get a school things ready. As I pass by my dresser I notice my makeup sitting out and decide to put some on. It feels good to get a little more dressed up. The me time before school was really nice too. I grabbed my backpack plus my black beanie, because it was so cold outside, and headed back downstairs.

Silas stopped me at the door smiling, "You look really pretty, Princess."
"Thanks, Sil!" I smiled back.
About to go outside again, Kenton came into the room. "Hey Treasure, you ready to go?" He asked.
"Nah, I think I'm just gonna bike to school today. But thanks Kent! I'll see ya both later." I responded with a smile. I was excited to bike again. Oh, that reminds me. "Hey actually, I think some of my friends are going to the Christmas fair on Main Street after school. Do you think I could go?" I asked. I didn't miss the look exchanged between them before Kenton said, "Sure, but before it gets too dark make sure to drop off your bike at the house. That way you won't have to worry about it. Also me and Silas were thinking of going too. But we'll stay out of your way."
"It's Silas and I, use proper grammar dude." I stated. The boys smiled, shook their heads and chuckled.
"Kent and I," Silas started emphasizing the I, "may be home later than you but no matter you'll still need to be home no later than 9:50. That gives you 20 minutes after the fair ends."
"Alright thanks!" I exclaimed hugging each of the boys in turn.
As a started out the door smiling, Silas yelled at me, "Have fun tonight!"
Smiling even bigger if possible I looked up at our home and took it all in! I hopped onto my bike and started pedaling towards school. I smiled all the way looking at the world and telling it Good Morning!
