Prologue

Deep underwater, the Victoria Punk was sinking in the ocean thanks to the coating that covered the ship. The members of the Kid pirates couldn't hide the grimaces of surprise, it was amazing. The roots of the Sabaody trees created a beautiful landscape, an underwater forest, the crew members contemplated the wildlife of the sea, swimming between the natural structures of the roots and seaweeds.

They were not aware that they were being closely monitored. Moving in the shadows of the sea, a large figure swam with grace as she followed the ship stealthily. The Gyojin girl was hiding in the roots as she followed the ship, she recognized the crew, she knew that these pirates were dangerous, after all, they were the Kid pirates, whose captain and second in command were members of the Worst Generation. She didn't trust them. Even if they were under the protection of the Whitebeard pirates, she wouldn't put the people of the Fish Man Island in danger by letting these filthy human pirates enter their city. She knew firsthand how cruel the humans could be to her species. They beat up Gyojins, kidnapped Mermaids, and sold them as slaves. She wouldn't permit that. As far as she knows, the Kid pirates were the worst of the worst. Like everyone else, they needed to cross their city to get to the New World. She understands that, but if they wanted to continue, it would have to be under her rules.

Her stealthy surveillance continued and she planned her attack. Her plan wouldn't work if she went for a basic crew member, if she wanted to succeed she needed to set a bigger prey, someone important to the crew. The choice of Eustass Captain Kid and Massacre Soldier Killer would be good, but it seemed difficult to get them. Perhaps obtaining one lower rank would be quicker and easier. And the two men standing beside the members of Worst Generation seemed to fulfill her expectations. With a smile and satisfaction, the Gyojin carefully left her hiding place and slowly approached the coated ship. Utilize her speed in the water to break the bubble that covers the pirate ship and take advantage of the confusion to sting one of the two men with her poisonous sting. Easy, fast and effective.

And she did it. She picked up speed and using her sharp nails as a knife she broke the bubble and entered the ship.The crew's happiness was suddenly replaced by surprise and all the men prepared to attack. The Gyojin girl quickly took the blue-haired man by his shoulders and stabbed his leg with her tail before he could be released. After accomplishing that, she took her place behind him, wrapping her hand around his neck, employing her nails like razor-sharp blades as a weapon, this action caused the crew to abruptly stop. The blue-haired man didn't dare to say anything.

- If I were you I would stay still- She threatened the pirates- I just poisoned this man and only I possess the antidote to cure him- She explained, sensing all their eyes on her- So... What if we make a deal?

Captain Eustass Kid erupted into laughter, applauding as he confidently moved toward the forefront of the enraged crowd.

-You're quite something, woman. Do you dare threaten my crew? Do you dare harm one of my men? Are you not attached to your own life, fish-woman?-He emitted a sinister chuckle, accompanied by an evil smile- So, now you're proposing a deal? I should just remove your head, you wretched fish.

- Proceed, chop my head off, but remember, without me, this man will perish- The Gyojin said fearlessly, causing the red-head to laugh.

-Why should I believe you?- He questioned, advancing towards the fish woman and her hostage, prompting the woman to tighten her grip, causing the blue-haired man's neck to bleed. Seeing this, Kid stopped.

-That's because my poison is unlike that of other stingrays or fishes, you see. It's a combination of various toxins from these fishes, and I alone possess the antidote.

-You disgusting bitch- Kid mumbled, eliciting a grin from the tall woman.

- Be cautious with your words, "Captain" Eustass Kid. I am not afraid of you, of any of you, I still possess the ability to bring all of you down- She could see how the redhead pirate gritted his teeth- Now, now... Why don't we all calm down and have a civilized talk?

-What do you want, fish-woman?- Kid asked.

You'll be fine for the duration of your journey, but don't be too confident, once it takes effect, you will be dead- She said happily, clapping the man's shoulder- Nice to meet you all! Bye bye!- And with that the woman left the pirate ship.

Upon the Gyojin's departure, the ship's captain erupted in screams and began thrashing about, cursing the fish woman and escalating tension among the crew. Now that the crew appeared to be recovering from the shock, Wire approached Heat, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder.

-Dude, are you okay?- He asked, seeing how his friend had been looking lost for a while.

-She was beautiful...- The man with blue hair declared, with an evident blush on his face.
