The shimmering bright rays of sun grazed the beige coloured window frame of Shona’s bedroom. She lay on her comfy bed without a damn care of the world and the blasting alarm clock near her head.
"Shona! Pura mohalla uth gaya tere alarm se beta ab toh uth ja! 7 baj gaye hai aur 9 baje appointment hai" Mrs. Adhya Sharma voiced while waking her dearest daughter from her slumber. She tried her best to wake the sleeping potato and finally succeeded in it.
(Shona! The whole neighbourhood woke up due to your alarm dear, get up now. It’s already 7 AM and your appointment is at 9 AM.)
"Appointment?" said Shona groggily while rubbing her eyes as if she has an extra pair stored. Waking up in the early morning is a huge nuisance and only innocent children like her know the feeling She thought.
"Puttar ji! It’s your Reception. You should look like a princess and moreover you don’t know how to do heavy makeup. We need to style your hair accordingly and there’s lot need to be done. Please get ready and don’t give me any more tension. Ok baccha?" Her mom said while giving Shona a cup of hot chai and left for the kitchen to make the breakfast.

I took a quick bath and got myself dressed in a creamish coloured suit with golden bangles. It’s absolutely impossible for me to step out without my skincare so I applied my sunscreen, moisturiser and lipbalm. Without any delay, a mandatory mirror selfie was clicked aur phir hum chale breakfast karne. 😋
Khana toh ekdum pait bharke khaungi! Kya pata mummy kitne time torture karwayegi! 🍲 I thought and descended downstairs. I was served with another hot cup of chai along with tasty maggi. Yum. After eating till my heart’s content, we went to the salon swiftly.
The place was peaceful and less crowded which eased my mind. My beauty enhancement routine 🤡 for reception started with hair treatment followed by face masking. I was provided with nail colour booklet and it took me nearly an hour to select the perfect shade of transparent french cut nail extensions.The henna artist re-touched my mehendi which took another 2 long hours.
