Kobo?: Questioning Them

*Mumei pov*

The four of us were walking, and we couldn't shake the fact that Kobo was staring the three of us down like she was inspecting us.

"Kobo, can you not look at us so intently?" Zeta asked the rain shaman.

Kobo glared at Zeta and mumbled something. "What did you say?" I asked

"Nothing, Auntie Mumei..." Kobo claimed

I pulled out my phone and stared at the screen. Fauna and Kronii had sent me photos of them; they clearly had been taking good care of animals in my absence. That's good. I turned to my other contacts and clicked on Shiori.

"Is it okay if I stop by tomorrow?" I texted Shiori, only to get an immediate reply from her as soon as I sent the text.

"Sure, Mumei-senpai, I'd be happy to have you visit me!" Was her response? She had no questions as to why I was going to visit her; she was just okay with it.

"Texting other girls?" Kaela questioned me as she peered over my shoulder. I looked back at her expression, flustered by the sudden callout.

"Ela, why does it matter to you so much if Auntie Mumei is texting other girls while she's with you?" Kobo asked

"I-" Kaela had no answer.

"Ela just wants to collab with Mumei, but since she is talking to other girls, she is worried that Mumei won't give her the collab she wants!" Zeta claimed

"Okay..." Kobo said, but she was clearly dissatisfied by the answer she got. She clearly didn't buy into it one bit.

"I am just talking to Shiori anyway; why does it matter if I collaborate with Shiori? I'm also her senpai, and I think Shiori is someone I want to be closer with!" I claimed

Saying those words probably won't end up being far off because going there may equal her falling in love with me, but Shiori isn't the type to really love girls, so I think it'll be safe. On the other hand, there is someone I should probably try to avoid at all costs, but eventually I'll have to meet with her.

"Auntie Mumei, do you like Shiori?" Kobo questioned

"Wait, are you saying that as if you don't like Shiori, or are you asking me if I like-like her?" I said.

"I don't know... but do you love Zeta and Kaela?" Kobo asked

"Uhhhh-Yes-No!" I shouted

Kobo frowned and furrowed her brow. "Auntie Mumei, why are you so flustered?" She asked me

"Because you can't just ask someone if they are in love with one of their friends-not only one of them, but two of them in this case!" I yelled

"Auntie Mumei I saw the collab you did with Kronii-senpai and Fauna-senpai; don't you call that being in love with two of your friends?" Kobo asked

Shit, this girl is too perceptive. Usually she is child-brained and not that bright, but all of a sudden she's analyzing us and tearing everything we say apart. What is up with this?

"I guess you could call it that, but Fauna and Kronii are different; we are really good friends, and kissing your friends is okay as long as you agree to it, and you know-Fauna and Kronii are the type of girls who would agree to kissing a friend like me!"

Kobo nodded. "Because they love you," she said.

"No! Why would you assume that is the case!?" I asked

"Because Zeta and Kaela have crushes on you," Kobo said.

"Ah-this is the first time I'm hearing about this!" I said I was gulping while trying to get those words out.
