I woke up in a hospital bed. I looked around at the white walls and then looked at my arms.
One had multiple IV's stuck in my arm while the other was wrapped in bandages.
That is when the memories came back to me. I tried killing myself.
I heard footsteps walking in and I saw a man with a doctor scrubs on.
He smiled at me gently as I looked at him with an uneasy look, "Hello Mr. Young," he greeted me, "it's good to see you are awake."
When I looked around again, no one was here. No one at all.
See no one even came for you. No one cares if you live or die, my thoughts consumed me.
"Where's Christian??" I asked him.
"He's probably in the waiting room," he told me. "I'll go get him."
I nodded as he left.
And I finally let the tears fall as I heard feet rushing in, I looked over and saw Christian. He had a worried look all over his face.
"How are you feeling??" He asked.
I sighed as I wiped the tears away, "I didn't mean to Christian. I swear," I pleaded with him.
He rushed over to me and laid a gentle hand over my cheek and mustered up his best assuring smile he had, "Hey, don't do that. Everything is ok," he told me. "I promise."
We sat in silence for a while until he finally spoke again, "Why Dylan??" He asked me. He tried to remain smiling, but couldn't has tears started to roll down his face, "Why?? I thought I lost you," he cried.
I felt guilty for making him feel this way. For making him cry.
He honestly deserved a best friend who doesn't make him cry like I do.
I finally answered him, "I couldn't get his face out of my head," I forced myself to say, "of what he did to me. And I fell back into my old habits. Without realizing how far I went," I spoke as I wiped the tears away.
He looked at me with sympathy in his eyes, "Don't let that bastard ruin your life Dylan," he told me sternly. "Like you said, I still need my best friend. And Diamond needs you," he told me.
I managed to nod.
I decided to tell him, "Christian??"
"Yes??"
I mentally prepared myself, "He texted me last night, and that was probably the tipping point," I cried out.
I heard him growl, "I'm going to kill him," he growled.
After that, we talked until he had to leave.
------------------------------------------------------------------
It is finally the day they are releasing me.
Christian sent Alexander to pick me up. I groaned but didn't complain.
I saw him walk into the room, and he looked delicious as ever.
He smiled at me gently, "I have to admit," he started, "I have missed you causing me trouble constantly."
I laughed lightly as I gathered my stuff and when I went to pick them up, he grabbed them, "Let me," he spoke softly.
I looked at him sadly, "Let me. I don't want to burden you too much," I told him.
He looked at me softly, "You're not burdening me," he said gently. As if I was a baby, I would roll my eyes, but I physically don't have the energy.
"Before we leave, I want to say something," I heard Alexander speak.
