I was currently on the sidewalk holding Dylan in my arms tightly, as I felt my blood boil. "That fucking bastard.." I growled underneath my breath.
I felt his tears drop onto my shoulder and felt his hands shaking as he held onto me tightly, "Let's get him out of here," I heard Christian say. I nodded as I helped Dylan up and onto his feet, and hold him against me securely.
"Where are you taking me??" I swear my heart broke at how little he sounded.
"Back to the station with us," Christian told him gently. Dylan nodded as I gently placed him in the backseat and climbed in beside him.
---------------------
I was at my desk as Christian typed away on his computer. I looked down and saw Dylan had fell asleep laying his head on the desk. He texted Tom and told he was sick.
"The least we can do is bring him in for harassment. Other than that, nothing," I heard Christian say anger in his voice.
Then something hit me, "What about the messages James and him sent to each other??" I asked.
That seemed to get his attention but he sighed, "Don't know what it was about."
I heard Dylan's phone ding and saw him stir but didn't wake up, "Light sleeper sometimes," Christian said. I nodded as I went back to looking through Robert's file.
"What if we go back and ask if he knows James Wilkerson??" I suggest.
"And if he lies??" He asked me.
"We got the proof they know each other which is enough for a warrant," I tell him.
Chrsitian smiled, "Let's do it," he exclaimed happily.
I looked at Dylan and sighed, "What about him??"
Christian was about to speak but a voice interrupted him, "I could watch him, I have nothing to do anyways."
We nodded and we grabbed our stuff. I gently ran my fingers through Dylan's hair and he mumbled, "Alex??"
I smiled gently, "We'll be right back."
He hummed before falling back asleep.
----------------
We walked in and saw Tom sitting at the counter. He looked up at us and smiled, "Just 2??" He asked us.
There was something off about Tom but I ignored it for now, "We are here to see Mr. Walsh. Is he in??" I explained.
He nodded, "Yes sir."
"Mind if we go back??" Christian asked.
Tom was about to speak but a voice interrupted him, "Won't be necessary." I turned around and saw him smiling at us. A smile that made me want to punch him square in the face. "Please follow me," he stated.
We followed hom back to his office.
We were sat down in his office as Christian typed something on his phone, "So what is this about officers??" Robert asked us.
"Do you know a James Wilkerson Mr. Walsh??" I asked him. I saw him shift slightly.
"Not that I know of officer," he said exactly what I wanted him to say.
I heard Christian sigh, "Knew you were going to say that," Robert looked at Christian confused. "We know you messaged him recently. You can either tell us what you talked about or we will get a warrant."
He sighed and rubbed his forehead, "I have no idea what you are talking about sir," he repeated.
I was sighed as I started to stand up as well as Christian, "Well we gave you a chance," I told him.
