Joe's Pov

Celia was asleep when I woke up, she looked so peaceful when sleeping.

Celia always had this calming energy to her, it was as if she was born calm and content. Even after everything that's been going on, she still feels calm, she still feels like my Celia.

It's terrifying to know that the only person who made my life worth living is not as indestructible as I thought.

I always imagined living my life with Celia next to me, I always imagined coming home to her, hearing her humming in the kitchen until we're grey and old, I always imagined celebrating every moment with her.

Every bad thing in life I survived because she's always been there, every excruciating moment felt bearable because she's always been there, every bad moment didn't feel as bad because I have Celia, it was all worth it, because I have her.

To think there's a chance of her not being next to me for the rest of my life is unbearable, just the thought of it makes my chest hurt.

Deep in thought, I didn't even notice Celia waking up, until I felt her hand in mine.

"Hi" There it is, the sweet voice of the woman I love.

Hearing her voice shut down every doubt I had in mind. She's here. I'm holding her. She's next to me. I feel her. We'll be alright, I know it.
