Rivers of Gold

Chapter 5

Shadow dropped us out of the super speed, and I found myself in awe again.

Just ahead of us, was a bright green and blue planet. And it was huge!

Hrnn, Hrnn, Hrnn, Shadow laughed, before steering Silver Falcon down towards the green and blue planet. I leaned as far forward as I could, and watched with wide eyes as the soft clouds parted as we drifted down.

Soon a bright and colourful green jungle? came up to us, and drifted by below us. I watched as colourful flying creatures flew up and around and behind us, before the jungle parted and cleared.

Shadow brought the ship around and down, landing in the clearing, before shutting the ship off. Once the ship was turned off, the straps that held us together pulled away, freeing us from the chair. I of course, leapt right off of him, and hurried around the chair towards the door.

"Hurry up! Let's go, let's go!", I giggled, jumping up and down by the ramp door.

He laughed, his shoulders bouncing. "I'm getting there, Flix. Patience love", he chuckled, pulling a brown leather bag out from within a wall, and checked its contents before he met with me by the door. "Ready?", he asked, looking down at me. I nodded hurriedly, and cheered when he opened the door.

Running off of the ship, I quickly stopped at the bottom of the ramp, looking down at the short green stuff in front of my feet.

Tilting my head at it, I felt Shadow come and stand beside me.

"It's grass. It won't hurt you", he assured me, before stepping off of the ramp himself, and taking a few steps to show me. "Come", he smiled, holding his hand out to me.

Taking a deep breath, I took a step and grabbed his hand.

I felt the grass beneath my feet fold downward, and be squished by my weight. I looked down and saw the grass slowly fold back upwards after I lifted my foot up. I found it so cool that I jumped around and kept watching it fold back upwards! It's so super cool! How does it do that?!

Shadow chuckled at my antics, and gently took my hand after making sure the ships door closed and locked.

"Come on", he pulled me along, into the jungle. "Let's go to town, and see what's around". I followed along, happy to explore more of everything!

And it was hot. But not like burning hot. More like wet hot. But it felt so good! I love it!

Holding onto Shadow with both hands, I let him guide me through the jungle while I looked around at everything that we passed. All the bright plants of different colours. All of the little skittering bugs? that I had managed to spot. And more of those colourful flying creatures up in the trees!

So much more stuff!

It didn't take very long until I started to hear voices and yelling, and lots of busy noises. My grip on Shadows arm tightened, and I shrank behind him. I've never been in an area with so many people before.

Shadow started to purr, squeezing my hand gently and nuzzling the top of my head with his tusks. "No need to be afraid. Just stay with me and you won't get lost", he said, before he cut his purr off as we breached away from the jungle.

I looked around in awe again. So many different types of people. So many shapes and sizes and colours! Oh! There's some Yautja!

After spotting familiar rubbery tresses and mandibles, I took off towards them.

I heard Shadow growl, before faintly hearing him following. I hurried through the milling crowd, hitting some on accident and apologising as I rushed through. New Yautja! New Yau-
