"Jongho just finished a case out of town alone. It may not be as big as here, but it drained him enough. Don't ask him anything for now, Hongjoong even asked him to rest. What about you? Have you found anything?"

Wooyoung briefly explained the situation when Mingi returned to the sector. Jongho was sleeping in his room, Seonghwa was, as usual, reading some reports—some of which were already solved cases—while Wooyoung was just sitting without doing much.

"Yeah, I'll report it to Hongjoong." Mingi let his phone charge. "After that, I'll head back again."

"To there? Haven't you gathered enough information?" Wooyoung asked.

"That's right." Mingi didn't elaborate further, choosing to have some fruits for breakfast.

Wooyoung, who wasn't too keen on knowing the details of Mingi's investigation and was more focused on whether Yunho was guilty or not, didn't demand further explanation. He joined Mingi in eating some grapes, then realized something. "If you want to report, you should do it now. Hongjoong might go out to deal with Jongho's remaining cases from yesterday."

Following Wooyoung's advice, Mingi immediately went to another room. He could have reported it just by calling Hongjoong, as using the computer and other devices was quite cumbersome. But if Hongjoong was indeed busy working, it was better to use the dedicated communication room that would directly connect him to Hongjoong there.

"I've been following his activities for two full days, and still haven't found anything. But I want to request permission for a one-day extension of the investigation period."

Hongjoong responded much calmer than Mingi expected. Fortunately, he didn't ask more about why Mingi wanted an extension. Mingi was already sure that Yunho wasn't the culprit, and his request for an extension was just an excuse. Mingi just wanted to go back to Yunho's house, to help the young man who had willingly provided shelter and even fulfilled his food needs for the past few days.

Especially because Mingi harbored personal feelings, perhaps by helping Yunho for the last time, spending time in the forest just to watch him do the same thing would leave a strong impression for Mingi to remember.

After finishing charging his phone, Mingi opened his gallery again, looking at the photos he secretly took of Yunho. Starting from the blurry photo Mingi took when he first followed Yunho secretly in the forest, to the last photo when Yunho was sleeping under the tree two days ago.

Beautiful.

Mingi unconsciously smiled to himself.
