Summary : Now that you have all simmered on Sakura's confession and Hibari's reaction it's time for his response... right? Nope. It's time for the Inheritance Ceremony! Are you all ready? We have a princess among the guests and honestly this chapter has so many raw and great wonderful emotions that I hope you all enjoy it.
The day of the inheritance ceremony arrived sooner than everyone expected. Sakura stood looking at herself in the mirror. She was wearing a formal pink kimono and her hair tied up with a hair charm. The girl even put some makeup on since this was such a formal event. She put on her cherry blossom charm bracelet and put on her orange orb earring. This would also be the first time she had seen Hibari in a week.
The girl looked down at her phone and remembered what Hibari said to her the night before. She was riding in the Ninth's town car when her phone rang. It was Hibari. She had chosen to ignore it but when it rang again she frowned. This time she hung up on him. The girl then received a message from him. "It's committee work. Answer your phone." "What..." she muttered and sure enough her phone rang again with Kusakabe's number across her screen.
"Hello?" she answered.
"I don't mean to bother you but I needed to know that you were okay." Hibari's voice came on the other line.
"Kyoya?" She said, surprised and checked the caller id. It did seem like he stole Kusakabe's phone.
"Where are you? Are you with a guard?" His voice seemed rushed and desperate for her answer.
"Yeah. I'm on my way home from seeing a business partner. I have Miki with me." she said looking over at her guard who gave her a confused look.
"Yamamoto Takeshi was just attacked. He's in the hospital. Head straight home. Message me when you get there." he ordered her.
"Wait. Yamamoto was attacked?! By who? Do you know anything yet?" she asked.
"Not yet. I'm still investigating. I needed to make sure you're okay though." he told her truthfully.
Sakura found herself stiffening up and blushing. "I'll message you when I get home." she promised.
"Good." he said.
The line was silent. Neither said anything. They couldn't even hear each other breathing. It was dead silent.
"If that's all. I'll go ahead and hang up first." Sakura then said. Hibari frowned; he wanted to say something to answer her feelings towards him even if he didn't fully understand what he was feeling. "Sa..." but the line clicked because he took too long to think.
He looked down at his phone screen. "Next time I'll have my answer for you." he promised her and himself. The boy did smile to himself when he saw that she did message him when she was home.
"Princess, it's time to go." Miki said as he knocked on her open door. He was dressed in a sharp suit. His hair was slicked back and he looked a little out of place causing the princess to giggle. "Let's go." she said getting up. It was time to go.
