Chapter 3

Jay was getting ready to take the detective's exam, which he was nervous for.

"What if I don't pass?" Jay asked.

Erin gave Jay a coffee, and spoke.

"Well, I'm sure, you'll do fine, Jay." Erin smiled.

Jay thanked Erin, and drank his coffee.

"I hope so." Jay whispered.

Erin noticed the time, and realised, she had to leave.

"Okay, I have to leave, but, I'm sure, you'll do fine." Erin nodded.

Jay sighed, and said his goodbye.

Once Erin left. Jay got his coat, and left the apartment.

After Awhile. Erin, got a text message, from Jay.

Hi, I've finished the exam.

Halstead ~

"Jay's finished, the exam!" Erin spoke up.

The unit all cheered, and spoke.

"That's my guy!" Antonio smiled.

Erin texted back, and smiled.

That's good, Jay!

Lindsay ~

Erin picked her coat up, and left the district.

After an hour. Erin and Jay, were drinking in a local bar, talking.

"It fried my brain!" Jay exclaimed.

Erin giggled, and drank her beer.

"If you don't mind me asking, do you have parents?" Jay asked.

Erin slowly placed her beer down, and cleared her throat.

"Fuck! Sorry!" Jay apologised.

Erin waved her hand, and spoke.

"No! No! It's okay!" Erin reassured.

Jay smiled, and nodded.

"Well, My mom's on a bedsit, somewhere, probably, with husband, No.5, My dad, he got arrested, for punching, some dealer, he got sentenced to life, so, my family's, pretty messed up." Erin explained.

Jay nodded, and laughed softly.

"Well, My mom died, brutal, breast cancer, My dad's, well, he's dead, died a year ago." Jay explained.

Erin placed her hand, over Jay's, giving slight comfort.

"I'm so sorry, Jay." Erin apologised.

"It's fine!" Jay responded.

Erin nodded, and finished her beer.

"Can I be straight, with you?" Erin asked.

Jay placed his beer down, and nodded.

"Of Course! Anything!" Jay smiled.

Erin placed her beer down, and looked at Jay.

"It's been a really long time, since I saw you, as just my friend." Erin teared up.

Jay smiled, and placed his arm, on the counter.

"Jay, I love you, like, so much." Erin sniffled.

Jay smiled softly, and listened.

"It's been awhile." Erin nodded.

Jay took Erin's hands, and smiled.

"I was waiting all day, for you to say those words, Erin." Jay smiled.

Erin smiled, and sniffled.

"Truth is, I love you too! I wanna be with you, for the rest of my days, Erin." Jay explained.

Erin sniffled, and kissed Jay's lips.

As Erin kissed Jay, he melted into Erin's lips, as well.

As the kissing session went on, they paid for their drinks.

"Let's go home!" Jay smiled.

Erin nodded, and left the bar.

Erin and Jay, held hands, as they walked to the GMC.

After a short while. Erin and Jay, got into bed, and snuggled.
