Chapter 15

Erin, Jay, and Riley were all sitting on the couch, watching a Christmas Movie.

The door suddenly knocked, interrupting their movie session.

"I'll get it." Jay whispered.

Jay took Riley, off his lap, and placed her onto Erin's lap/

Jay got up, and walked to the door.

The door opened, and it was Pat.

"Dad?" Jay asked.

"Hi Son!" Pat smiled.

Jay was confused, on what his dad, was doing here.

"What are you doing here? How'd you get this address?" Jay questioned.

Pat felt sad, that wasn't the welcoming, he expected.

"That's how you treat your old man?" Pat asked.

"Yeah! When you turn up, unannounced." Jay nodded.

Riley ran up to the door, and saw Pat.

"Who are woo?" Riley babbled.

Pat looked down, and smiled.

"Jay, you never told me, you had a kid?!" Pat responded.

Jay picked Riley up, and spoke.

"Yeah, I didn't want you to know." Jay spoke softly.

Riley being tired, fell on Jay's shoulder, and sucked her thumb.

"Alright, My Daughter's tired, so I'll have to leave." Jay explained.

"Wait! Maybe, we can set up a meet?" Pat suggested.

"A meet? Yeah, we'll see, bye dad." Jay spoke.

Jay shut the door, and locked it.

"You tired, munchkin?" Jay cooed.

Riley nodded, and closed her eyes.

"Let's get you to bed." Jay whispered.

Erin and Jay, walked Riley upstairs, and tucked her in.

"Night, sweet girl." Erin smiled.

Erin kissed Riley's head, so did Jay.

After a few minutes. Erin and Jay, were in their bedroom.

Jay was propped up against the headboard, stroking Erin's hair.

Erin felt Jay's chest, beating fast.

"Hey, what's got you worked up?" Erin whispered.

Erin stroked Jay's chest, and drew patterns.

"My Dad, he wants to see Riley." Jay admitted.

Erin sat up, and spoke.

"I mean, that's not a bad idea?" Erin asked.

Jay opened his eyes, and looked at Erin.

"Are you kidding me? I don't like the guy, Erin!" Jay exclaimed.

Erin brushed Jay's hair back, and whispered.

"Neither do I, but, It's not fair on Riley, if you don't let her see her grandfather, right?" Erin asked.

Jay sighed, and lied down.

"We're going to invite Pat, and take it from there, okay?" Erin smiled softly.

Jay reluctantly nodded, and cuddled into Erin's chest.

"I got you, my love." Erin soothed.

Erin drew small love hearts, on Jay's back, until he fell asleep.

Once Jay was asleep. Erin fell asleep.
