Chapter 24

Erin was washing the dishes, as Jay passed the dirty plates, over to her.

"Thanks, babe." Erin smiled.

Jay smiled, and walked out of the kitchen.

As Jay walked out, he packed Riley's schoolbag, ready for tomorrow.

There was a loud pop, which startled Jay.

Jay dropped the bag, and leant against the wall, holding a sharp pencil.

"Daddy?" Riley asked.

Jay started whimpering, and mumbling.

"No, No, get away from me!" Jay mumbled.

Riley was scared, so she got her mama.

"Mama!!" Riley shouted.

Erin came rushing in, and saw the state, Jay was in.

"Okay, Riley, go get daddy a glass of water." Erin ordered.

Riley toddled into the kitchen, filling the glass up.

"Jay, can you hear me?" Erin whispered.

Jay was looking around the house, thinking, he's in the warehouse.

"Baby, your at home, with me, and our baby girl, your safe." Erin reassured.

Jay closed his eyes, and took deep breaths.

"Here Mama!" Riley spoke.

Erin thanked Riley, and spoke.

"Gloria? Jay's not feeling well, can you tuck Riley into bed?" Erin questioned.

Gloria smiled softly, and nodded.

"Of course, dear, let's go, Ri." Gloria smiled.

Riley held Gloria's hand, and walked upstairs.

"Baby, your okay, take some deep breaths, in through the nose, out through the mouth." Erin guided.

Jay copied, and got his breathing, under control.

"That's it, baby, well done." Erin praised.

Jay opened his mouth, and spoke.

"I don't wanna live like this anymore, Erin, I hate it!" Jay sobbed.

Erin held Jay in her arms, feeling him shake, with every sob.

"I know, my baby, I know, your safe, though." Erin smiled.

Jay closed his eyes, and snuggled into Erin's arms.

"Come on, It's late, let's go to bed." Erin decided.

Jay stood up, and held Erin close to him.

"It's okay, baby, I got you, keep holding onto me." Erin whispered.

After a few minutes. Erin and Jay got into bed, after saying goodnight, to Riley.

"Night, baby, I love you, so much." Erin spoke quietly.

Jay mumbled back, and fell asleep.

Once Jay was out, Erin fell asleep, as well.
