There was blood.
All of his siblings were either knocked out or fatally wounded.
He stepped closer, a blank expression on his face as he stared at the unconscious bodies of his siblings. He looked up and saw a massive hole in the cell the Mario bros were being held in, burnt and melted metal chain cuffs laying on the floor.
His eyes drifted over to Roy and Morton, their condition much worse since they were closer to the blast. He didn't move from his position, his face staying blank despite the situation before him.
Heavy and light footsteps made their way over to the dungeon. Ludwig just continued to stand there, not even flinching when muffled gasps came from behind him. -

- Bowser Jr.'s POV
"L- Ludwig? What.. what happened?!" I exclaimed in shock.
"And where are those Mario brothers?!"
I waited for an answer from him, but he just stood there with his back turned to me. I wanted to go up to him to demand he answered but Kamek held me back.
"Hey! Let me go! I want to know what happene-!" Kamek cut me off with quiet shush and pointed towards Ludwig again.
I huffed and looked back slightly surprised to see smoke coming from Ludwig. I looked at Kamek and tugged at his robe.
Kamek looked down at me and told me to stay put while he went to get the guards.
As soon as he left the room I looked over at Ludwig and walked up to him. "Ludwig?" I nudged him gently.
He didn't answer, "Ludwig!" I shouted a bit louder this time hoping to get his attention.
I jumped back slightly once he looked at me, slightly trembling from the furious look in his eyes. "What is it Lord Jr.?"
"U-um Kamek will be back with the guards soon! So.. you should go and investigate where those Mario brothers are, right now!"
I watched as he shut his eyes and let out a deep exhale before walking out of the dungeon. I let out a sigh of relief and left as well, grimacing as I walked past the unconscious bodies.
