I couldn't believe that both of my friends were in a serious relationship, and also that Jennie still delayed her wedding because she wanted me to think it over again. She really needed to realize that I'm my own person, and I don't need her to try to change my mind on something I'm pretty sure about. It was Monday evening, and I was about to leave for the society. I was feeling much tired because of all the work I was doing at the hospital. I drank my coffee and was relaxing on my arm chair when Raven knocked the door.
"Dr. Laura there is someone to visit you," he said, not even bothering to open the door.
"Not now, please, ask him to come by later," I groan out of exhaustion.
"He isn't requesting much but, he just wants to see you, no medicine promoters."

"Argh, fine," I gave in, "let him in."
I was facing the window when I heard the door open, and then close. The footsteps lead to the chair on the other side of my desk and I heard this person sit down in the chair. I cleared my throat and asked, "So, what are you here for?" I turned around and I found myself in shock, I griped the arms of my chair and looking into those blue eyes I remembered so clearly. Walter, that jackass was back again.
"Um," he noticed my reaction, "You seem really pale and ill, Miss Laura," Walter commented. I did not feel the need to reply him and so I started writing down some notes on a piece of paper. He was continuously gazing me and wanted me to answer. "How are children at the society?" he tried again. I ignored him again and continued my work. He then pushed his chair near my table and got my attention again by yelling "Laura!"
I looked up at him, trying to stay calm, "Andy died you know‚ the day you left, but I don't even know why I'm bothering to tell you, he died wanting to see you again, and he died knowing you didn't give one shit about him."

"I-" he paused for a moment, taking it all in, "I was abroad for two weeks because I had an important meetings to attend. My company was at lost and I had to make sure it stayed above water. I apologize for not returning your calls."
"And? Is your company better?" I asked, I was impressed with how calm I was acting.

"Yeah, actually, our stock is going up again as well," he said, sounding relieved.

"Fantastic, you may leave now," I went back to my work.
"Wait, how did Andy die? I feel awful," he didn't get up.
"Cancer, we weren't strong enough to beat it. I wanted to fulfill his last wish, but I couldn't," I held back tears, thinking of Andy's smile, and the way he loved everyone around him.
"May God bless him in heaven," he said in a low voice. Then there was a moment of silence again.

He finally muttered, "I need a favor, doctor."
I looked at him awkwardly, and said, "If I can, you know how much I love giving debts."
He grinned and stood up. "So‚ would you like to have a dinner with me?" he asked me.
"Dinner?" these words were unbelievable. I looked at him almost astonished. I stared at him shocked and confused.
"Well, yes, I can," I said anxiously.
"Well I will be waiting then. There is another favor needed at the dinner, I'll pick you up at seven," he smiled.
While he was leaving the room I uttered, "More than one debt now‚" I laughed. I could hear him laugh as well.

A few minutes after Walter left, John entered my office, "What?" I grumbled.
"You didn't visit the cancer society today‚" he said looking concerned.
"Well, now I have to go somewhere, can you drop me home?"
"So early?" he remarked.
"Yeah‚ would you?" I asked.
"Fine."

He drove the car as fast as he could, he looked at me and saw me smiling, I tried to hide it, but I just couldn't.
"Going somewhere tonight?" he asked amused.
"Kind of‚ it's not that important," I replied.
"Not important I see," he continued "Why don't you remove your glasses and have a nice haircut. Wear long dresses wear makeup‚ be grown up."

Well he knew that I was going out for dinner. I guess I could get a little dressed up. "That was advice, are you getting serious with someone?" he mocked me.
"Oh, shut up" I snorted with laughter.
"Look‚ you are very pretty, and I mean you are lovely. I do flirt with you, you know‚" he couldn't stop laughing and neither could I.
I reached my house at 6:30, and I was already running late. I ran upstairs ignoring Jennie's questions. I went to open my cupboard and made it a complete mess. I couldn't find a good enough dress for the dinner. I rushed to Jennie's room and opened her cupboard. I removed my glasses and wore the blue lenses. I rolled my hair slightly and zipped my dressed tightly from the back. I put on eye makeup and a little blush. I was doing this all on John's advice, of course. I got dressed up my way for the first time, and no one will be allowed to tell me to change.

I hired a taxi and reached the place at 7:10pm. It was at the biggest restaurant in town. It was quite big and I could see many people there were families and couples. Bottles of wines and tasty food filling my heart full of joy. I was nervous; I had no idea what he was going to ask of me. I couldn't find his table, and I didn't know how to contact him. I tried texting him "Where are you?" I prayed that he may reply. I was feeling so stupid standing still in corner
"First floor second last table in the corner near the view," he replied. His reply gave me life and I ran upstairs and looked at him already waiting for me.
He stood up and bowed. He pushed the chair for me and made me sit. I was blushing and I knew that he was surprised looking at me dressed in such a different manner.

"Are you coming from a meeting?" he asked me.
"What do you thing?" I almost challenged him.
"Two reasons made me think that," he grinned.
"Do explain then, Mr. Walter" I said in a low tone.
"First, you came late and then you dressed up. And may I say you look rather impressive," he chuckled.
For a moment I was still and then I giggled. I replied that I got dressed because I have to go for a meeting after this dinner.
"I see, Miss Laura," he was not looking at me, but rather than he was looking on the empty walls. We were both waiting for the waiter and lastly one came.
"What would the young couple like to eat?" he said in a pleasing manner. We both glared each other.

"What would you like?" asked Walter.
"Anything, I guess," I kept looking at the menu.
"Are you sure?" he asked again.
"Yeah."
He ordered something very special and tasty. I knew his choice wouldn't be that bad. It was an awkward moment for us. Though I hated him for his cruel behavior but deep inside, I still had a soft spot for him.

"So what's this favor you want?" I asked him.
"What if we talk about it later?" He mumbled.
"What is it? You are making me nervous."

"It's not a deal‚ it's a contract," he said in a serious tone.
I could see his expressions changed and he was blushing. He wanted to say but couldn't say it. "Listen carefully and quietly," he stopped then he continued, "I need your help?" I remained silent and confused. I was perplexed.
"If I can," I replied.
"I have been engaged to a close family friend since my birth. I don't want to marry her. The reason is very simple; she wants all of my property. My parents died when I was too young. The close family helped me grow up and now what she wants in return all my property‚ business and my life. Are you getting it?"

After listening all this I was shocked and still. I managed to continue talking.

"What do you want me to do?" I asked, looking up to him.
