Beautiful Emmy Rosum <3 (Laura)I couldn't believe that I had just kissed Walter, hence why I was blushing red as a beet. Oh, but his skin was so soft and gentle. How is that even possible?
I wanted to go back and kiss him so badly, the adorable little shocked face he was making didn't help any. He looked so hot. A wave of heat crawled along my body, making my face heat up and a shiver roll down my back. As I rushed away from Walter, my face a red tomato, I made sure he hadn't seen my expression.
Turning my back to Walter, I started playing with Jade and the others. They asked to play hide-and-seek, each tugging on my hands eagerly, trying to urge me to agree.
"Okay! Okay! Let's play hide-and-seek!" I declared, smiling at the children who all began figuring out who should seek.
Glancing over my shoulder, I spotted Walter with his huge hands still covering his cheeks, blushing. Seems he hadn't gotten over the shock yet either.
'I am such an idiot! How will ever I face him now?! Why did I do that?' I cursed myself for acting so rash. I knew Walter would be thinking of how 'bold' I was, and I couldn't quite figure out what I felt to that. I was just lost in my thoughts, staring at him. His smile shifted into a teasing grin when he noticed me staring. I feigned a wary smile, looking up at his face. In that moment of awkward eye contact, I knew that I was loosing myself to him.
"Come on! Mr. Walter, please play with us!" The little boy held Walter's finger, tugging him along to play hide-and-seek. Walter bent down and hugged him, smiling.
"I have to go, kid, but I promise I'll come back soon." Walter stated, kissing the little boy's head and looking to me, smiling awkwardly. I'd never seen him act so......awkwardly.
"Promise?" That little guy really wanted Walter to stay, which made me realize just how much the children loved him.
"Yes! I promise!" As Walter straightened he continued gazing at me as if I had stolen his wallet and he didn't realize it till then. Maybe I stole something else? I gave him a confused look and blushed. He waved his hand in farewell and headed off to the parking lot, where his vehicle was waiting.
"Come on, my children, we can still play." I laughed and turned, though stealing another glance over my shoulder to see Walter smirking. I smiled to myself before running off to play hide-and-seek. This was one of the finest evenings I ever experienced. Life seemed perfect now and I wanted it to be this way. The children, they were my world and I loved them as much as I loved myself. Which was a lot.
About an hour later we heard; "Come on! Get in, everyone, let's all have dinner together!" Shouted Dr. Sarah from the door of the building. Wiping a small line of sweat from my forehead, I went for dinner, still thinking about Walter. Lost in my thoughts, I startled when someone's arms grazed mine, fingers reaching out and tickling my sides
"John! Stop that!" I laughed, squirming, as he gently kissed my cheek, joining us for dinner.
"Hello everyone!" John said in his jolly and cheerful voice as dinner was served. John sometimes volunteered at the society but most of the time he couldn't due to his busy life.
"Hello John! Come on and sit down." Alfred placed our plates on the table as John accepted the offer and sat next to me.
"What a perfect evening!" Remarked Dr. Sarah, handing me a bowl full of teaming soup.
"You could say that again." Replied Raven, smiling. Sarah opened her mouth to take the statement literally and Raven added, "Not literally, Sarah!" She giggled.
