"Hey, Coach!", Elaine greeted the man excited.

"Other McCall! What are you doing here?", Coach exclaimed, startled by the girl's sudden appearance at his desk.

"Oh, it's Knight now, actually. Elaine Knight. Like, officially.", Elaine corrected him with a smile. Coach had been the one to encourage her to change her last name.  "I like it. Again, what are you doing here?", Coach repeated his question.

"I was wondering... since Kira is now on the lacrosse team if there maybe would be a chance for me to try out as well?", Elaine asked sheepishly. "The first game is today.", Coach pointed out. "I know, I know. I wanted to ask you way earlier than today, but a few things came up that hindered me from doing so.", Elaine explained. "I'm hoping you can make an exception for me?"

"You know what? No."

"No?", Elaine asked, her smile dropping.

"I mean I bet you'll be good, but I have a better position for you.", Coach explained. "You do?", Elaine asked surprised. "Yes. How would you like the idea of being an assistant coach?", Coach asked the girl.

"Can you even do that? Take a student as your assistant coach?", Elaine asked Coach, unsure of his suggestion. "I'm not sure myself, but I'm just gonna do it. So? What do you say?"

"I'd be happy to be your assistant coach!", Elaine agreed with a smile back on her lips.

"Great! I'll see you later then. Now, let me have my break.", Coach said, gesturing for her to leave him alone.

"Thank you, Coach! I'll see you later.", Elaine said goodbye and started her way to her next class.

In the Hallway Elaine stumbled upon Derek. "I assume Scott called you because of Liam?", Elaine asked Derek, now walking beside him.

"He did. And that boy is an angry one.", Derek confirmed her suspicions.

"Yeah, I'm wondering how the game is going to go today."

"You're going to the Game?"

"Yes. I have to go now. I just became the assistant coach.", Elaine told Derek excited. "Assistant coach? Congratulations.", Derek complimented her with a smile.

"Yeah, it's exciting. Just like the Deadpool going around. I know you're on the list, but Conrad said he, Belly and I haven't shown up yet. Malia hasn't either so I guess we will show up in the next parts. How are you and Peter doing actually? Since, you know, you both got attacked.", Elaine rambled.

"I'm fine. So is Peter."

"That's good.", Elaine said, relieved to hear that they're okay.

"How are you doing? How is the reading going?", Derek asked Elaine curious on what she had found out since the last time she had updated him.

"Right now, I'm feeling pretty good. And the reading is going okay. Stiles and Malia are going to help me now too, so that's good."

"That's good. Why are you so happy today anyways?", Derek continued to question her, not having seen Elaine this excited in a while. "I told you I'm the assistant coach now."

"Yeah, but that's not all, is it?", Derek asked with a smirk.

"Fine, okay. I'll tell you. I had a date yesterday.", Elaine told him, knowing she wouldn't be able to lie to him.

"A date?", Derek asked surprised.

"Yes, a Date. And it was pretty good. I had a fun time."

"With who?"
