The next morning was a bit awkward. Elaine was grateful for Stiles to having let her sleep at his place, but she couldn't stop herself from scolding herself in her head for going to him in the first place. She wanted to get over her feelings for him and this did not help. The opposite really.

Stiles did not mind having her sleep in his bed. He even liked the sight of it. He knows he likes Elaine a lot but doesn't yet know how to go about them. A small part still trying to deny them. And then there was Mike. It was painfully obvious to everyone but Elaine, that Stiles was jealous. But in the end, Stiles just wants Elaine to be happy. And if it must be with Mike, so be it. That doesn't mean he'll stop not liking him and being jealous.

Having heard about what happened at the station Elaine rushed there to help in any way. She offered to heal the Sherriff's wound, but he declined. "And he just showed up like that?", Elaine asked them about Parrish. "Yeah.", Stiles confirmed.

"Okay, then. Uhm... How about you take your dad to the hospital and Lydia and I call Scott and get Parrish to Derek. Maybe he knows what he could be.", Elaine suggested. The others agreed.

Parrish, Scott, Lydia and Elaine went to Derek's loft. Derek examines Parrish's hands and asks if Haigh covered him in gasoline. Parrish nodded.

"It's the hair and nails, right? The parts of the body that are essentially dead.", Lydia pointed out. "Well, they should be gone.", Derek said. "I was set on fire. All of me should be gone.", Parrish said.

"Not if you're like us.", Scott told him. "Like you?"

"I don't think he's like us.", Derek disagreed. "Then what is he?", Elaine asked. "Sorry, but I have no idea.", Derek answered. "But you knew about Jackson and Kira.", Scott reminded him.

"This is a little out of my experience. There might be something in the bestiary. Did you try Argent?", Derek suggested. "I don't know where he is.", Scott told him. "My Granny might have something in her library.", Elaine suggested.

"Okay, hold on. What's a bestiary? Actually, that's not even my first question. Just... Just tell me one thing. Are all of you like Lydia? Are you all psychic?", Parrish asks them. "Psychic?", Derek asks amused. "Not exactly.", Scott answered for them. "Okay. Then what are you?"

Scott and Derek exchange a look, deciding Scott will show his werewolf form to Parrish.

The group explained some things to Parrish. He asks what a kanima is again. "We'll get back to that. Just know that everyone like us, everyone with some kind of supernatural ability is on the dead pool.", Scott explained to him. "But I don't even know what I am.", Parrish says.

"I didn't know either for a long time.", Elaine told him. "I'm pretty sure they don't care.", Derek added.

"How many professional assassins are we talking about?", Parrish asks them. "We're starting to lose count.", Lydia answered.

"But is it still just professionals?"; Scott wondered. "I don't think Haigh's ever tried anything like this. I think he was taking a chance.", Parrish pointed out. "That means anyone with the dead pool could take a chance.", Derek concluded. "But if Haigh had it, then who else does? How easy is it to get this thing now?", Parrish asked.

Lydia explained to everyone at the loft that Meredith was only at the lake house once but once was enough. Derek asks how her grandmother knew her. "She didn't. She found her. Because of another woman named Maddy. The woman she loved.", Lydia tells them. Then she shows Scott and Elaine a picture of young Lorraine and Maddy. She says she never met Maddy, but she saw her name everywhere. "She used to be part of a yacht racing team. They were plaques and trophies in the lake house from all the regattas she won.", Lydia adds.
